  • this is awesome XD

  • MORE Proof of evolution!

That one monkey looks Just like Kent Hovind....Sorry I didn't mean to insult the monkey, but the resemblance is uncanny

  • who is this more for the humans or the animals? the animals dont care. waste of time and money imo.

  • Can't we care about both childen AND animals? I mean, humans are the ones who have destroyed the chimps' habitats and enclosed them in concrete prisons... why is it a one-or-the-other situation?

  • I wonder if the news dialog could get anymore cheesier.

  • hahhaha @ spudnut

  • I care very much about the welfare of Chimps, however I care about the welfare of children more. I think they need to re-evaluate where their priorities lie.

I'm not saying that we need to stop caring for these animals, we need to.

There comes a point though especially at Christmas where childrens' needs should be the focus, not an animal.

  • Hm. I can't help but think that money could've been better spent on some needy children.

  • I sincerely wonder what it is that makes people say this on topics like this.

How come people don't say that when they see someone purchasing rock climbing gear or when they watch a music video? It's a very interesting point. I lean towards thinking it has something to do with ego. Another person was doing the same on this very video (I forget the name).

  • @faraz1729

I sincerely wonder what it is that makes people think that giving CHARITY to chimps is just as worthy as giving charity to needy children.

The difference between your examples and this one is charity. I have no objections to someone spending their money on rock climbing gear or spending their time watching a music video. Those things are done for themselves. I have no objections to spending $50 on a videogame for your nephew -- it's someone you know and care about.

  • "I sincerely wonder what it is that makes people think that giving CHARITY to chimps is just as worthy as giving charity to needy children."

I never said or implied that.

As for the rest of your reply, what does buying $50 worth of ski gear for oneself do for the Rwandan orphan that buying $50 gift for a chimpanzee wouldn't? It's all the same to his stomach and failing organs. That's why I feel this attitude in general (not yours personally) is due to ego.

  • @faraz1729 (cont'd)

But when you're giving your money to someone/something you have no personal connection to, it is my opinion (yes, just an opinion) that a GIFT is far more appreciated by a human being than an animal. (Imagine a poor child with no gifts on Christmas, feeling uncared for.)

I commend people for caring about animals and not wanting them to suffer. But with limited resources, I will ALWAYS believe those resources can be better spent relieving human suffering and misery.

  • "... I will ALWAYS believe those resources can be better spent relieving human suffering and misery."

    I agree.

But I could never criticize chimp-present-givers because that would make me a huge hypocrite (for reasons I gave in my previous response).

It makes no difference to the poor child whether the $50 dollars he DIDN'T get were spent on ski gear or on a chimpanzee.

  • You're still comparing non-charitable spending to charitable spending. That is the distinction. IF someone has already decided to DONATE their time or money, I believe they ought to consider a poor child before a poor chimp.

And, yes, a poor child won't know if you spent $50 on a chimp instead of him, but he will know if you DID spend the $50 on him. I do believe he would understand and appreciate it far more than would the chimp. (Especially in the case of a Christmas gift lol.)

  • I agree 100%!!

  • Ahh. this is too cool and so right up my alley.

Don't buy products tested on animals! Look at these guys... they're so clearly happy.

    damn.

  • Wow, this is great!

  • That was heartwarming and funny as well....chimpmas, very appropriate for the occasion! I commend these people for caring so much for these chimps who more than deserve a little pampering after what they've endured at the hands of mankind. Great story, thanks!

  • LOL! Epic

  • Ugh the news reader really piles on the cheese... "awl thruu the niiight"

Cool story though, no idea what 99minerkc has a problem with really. I mean chimps are really very intelligent and there's no reason why they shouldn't be treated with good will.

  • Presents for Chimps? Wrap presents? What the hell is wrong with that picture? I'll you what! We have starving kids all around the world!! Our country has it's values all SCREWED UP!!

  • Those gifts were donated by individuals I think, so because a few people help out animals (which is a good thing) you think the country is all screwed up? Please....

  • You don't think our country is screwed up? That our country doesn't have it's values out of whack? I hope your right!

  • @99minerkc Everyone has their own values. So in terms of following your "country values" they are out of whack. Get what I'm saying?

  • Yes, we have our own values, but where did they come from? You think you made up your values?

  • @99minerkc Dude some of those monkeys worked long and hard jobs as pleasure monkeys for scientists, at least let them enjoy the rest of their time on earth. Its a well known fact that if you dont ply them with apples and other gifts before sex they are more likely to rip your dick off.

  • I don't have a problem with treating them with "proper care" and dignity that ALL animals should get! I struggle when animals get better care than some people do! I always thought people, especially children were valued more than animals(again-they too should be valued), but I guess not!

  • "I struggle when animals get better care than some people do!"

    1. What are your views on keeping pets?

    2. Have you ever had a pet?

    3. If your answer to #2 is yes, you are, once again, a hypocrite asshat.

  • Him... Hey asswipe, why is it that you never answered my question? Again, I have given 30,000 dollars(over the last 23 years) to charity to help the poor, what have you given?

    I have NO pets!!

My son have a pair of birds for pets but, "HE DOES NOT WRAP UP PRESENTS FOR THEM!!" He cares for his birds properly but knows they're second to people!!

NOW PISS OFF!! I'm done wasting valuable time on a waste

  • (1 of 2)

I don't have to answer any of your questions. I have no interest in comparing charitable contributions. I'm not egotistical like you.

However, I did accomplish what I did want to do: point out your blatant hypocrisy. I'll summarize it again here for your convenience:

You're quick to criticize people who give presents to chimpanzees, citing that that money could have gone to needy humans.

    (continued in next post)

  • (2 of 2)

Then you turn right around and deprive those same needy humans by spending money on personal hobbies and anything that isn't necessary to your existence.

So you're going to criticize OTHER people's expenditures because they could have been given to charity whereas you are "guilty" of doing the EXACT same thing.

And that actually brings me back to where we began:

    Hypocrite asshat.

  • In some cases the animals are far more deserving (^.o)

  • @99minerkc

You do realize that you presented us with a logical fallacy which goes along these lines: "There are people worse off than the chimps you are helping. There for you are evil because you rather help these chimps than those who are worse off."

By this same logic there is no point in any charitable works since you can be almost sure to find others who are even worse off than those you are helping.

This is why it is a logical fallacy and has nothing to do with real values.

  • Watching TV? Reading a book? Talking to a friend on the phone? Going out to a restaurant to eat? Sleeping more than is required to survive?

What the hell is wrong with that picture? I'll tell you what! We have starving kids all around the world!! You have your values all SCREWED UP!!

    Hypocrite asshat.

  • Shut your nasty smelly ass hole!! You haven't a clue as to what I have or don't have, what I do or don't do!! Until you do shut the hell up!! I didn't show off to the world wrapped presents for chimps(like they can give a dam)while kids starve around the world! I have donated 30,000 dollars in my life so far, and you have donated how much? Joker

  • The same can be said about the very people you're criticizing: How do you know how much they've done for human charities?

Great job on missing the point though, dolt.

  • Fucktard!

  • don't really see why this was uploaded to this channel

  • lol, you cant see why?

Its been said below. Its an amusing christmas story.

The guy saw this and thought it was amusing.

I hate the idea of the preseve workers doing all this for their owm amusement and lying to say its for chimps who dont have any understanding what its all about or care.

But its an amusement to others, so whatever.

Fact is, some will always be amused by our close connection to chimps, apes, whatever, and will like video and story about them.

    Its ok to be spontanious

  • Its related to christmas which is related to religion which is not related to atheism?

  • agreed!

  • wtf?

  • The chimp at the end reminded me of my sister trying to grab all the goodies xmas morning. Kinda looks like her too.

    love ya sis!

  • Why the hell is everyone bitching about how this is related to atheism. The poster wanted to do something for the holidays and decided on a happy animal story which coincided somewhat by being called chimpmas.

I am sure he will return to posting relevent content form here on out.

To the guy saying that this is being taken from one cage to another "cage" from the sounds of it being able to roam in a large land area sounds better then being in a cage 24/7 other then when being experimented on.

  • awesome

  • I love how they call the previous homes cages and their new homes enclosures...really gives you a clear picture of propaganda in reporting.

Let me trap you in my basement instead of my closet and as long as the "world" thinks that's "better", I'm saving you.

  • @UTubeBrowzer

    Lets see...

    A cage - approximately 4'x4'x4' in a closed room.

An enclosure - not sure on the exact dimensions, but I would guess 400'x400' with no top and lots of fresh air.

Yeah, you are right, they are the same thing.

  • I dont even remember the use of enclosure, but I have bad focus.

What I do remember is that the chimps get whole islands.

The "enclosure" seems to be an enormous preserve thats 150 acres.

Anyody thinking that size roaming space is anything like a cage is not in their right mind

  • Agreed!

  • just shows how bored people really are...

  • this is great......glad to see our cousins getting some love and respect for a change

  • I don't know how this is Atheist related, but this was too funny/cute haha!

The chimp with the dr pepper box XD too cute.

  • as an atheist i think this is awesome! i just wish i got more presents =/ instead i had to help my mom buy my bro presents -_-

  • This is a pretty cool place to live, Good Vid at a holiday!

  • "Another chimp shot puts his present" LOL! Funny stuff

  • I LOVE CHIMPS! :D

  • Aww, this is lovely. Merry Christmas.

  • Only an idiot would make an Obama comment on something that has nothing to do with politics.

  • I'm guessing it was a joke.

  • Stop being immature.

  • Hitler was a Catholic, not an Atheists. Atheists are not bigots like religiuos f@%k nuts.

  • @biggesttrucker

atheists come in all types of colors...black, white, latino, middle eastern, asian, etc....lol but i suppose each of those groups of people are "quite racist", right?

    i'm an african-american atheist who isn't racist....go figure

  • @biggesttrucker Hitler was catholic. Do your research.

  • I gave your comment a thumbs down because i think you're an asshole....

PS the UFC called and they don't need a Fluffer (for the 50th time) they suggest you try the gay porn film company next door.

  • What does this video have to do with Obama?

  • Aww that's very nice.

  • Mildy funny, but does everything have to be explained like the audience is 5 years?

    Happy holidays to everyone.

  • this is such a nice thing. these animals went through a terrible ordeal and now they get to recover with people that love them and do such sweet things. i urge everyone to donate to the refuge, they truly deserve it.

  • That made my day.

    Happy holidays everyone.

  • I love Chimpanzees but I wouldn't mess around with this guy...

    watch?v=yXG4HrH1L-k

  • lol... nice

  • helping chimps is like helping family only they may actually be thankful xD

  • cute :D

  • Oh, CHIMPmas... I see what you did there...

  • HAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAH CHIMP
