However, your explaination is whats wrong. In the video, the "ressurrection" was merely the destroyed necrons successfully repairing themselves. If the Necrons fail to repair themselves, then they will "phase out", or teleport back to their tomb to be repaired. By the way... SPACE MARINES KICK NECRON ASS!

Necron are pure EVIL in gameplay. A necron lord will totally fuck up your entire base by himself, (if you're playing against Necron) and to be honest, even Tyranids avoid the Tomb-worlds.

If you're going to a Tomb world, even with an ENTIRE chapter of Space marines (...Only 1000 allowed in a system at any one time) you'll still die. Necrons are marching, Lore says they will destroy everything.

Although, I don't know what this "Void Dragon" is...

@WolfytheWolf5667 Correct. The C'tan Void Dragon is the thing that came closest (other than Horus, and he only got there because of betrayal and ended up dying) to killing the God Emperor of Mankind. When a Necron is destroyed, it is teleported back to its tombworld, its body (if possible) is repaired, or replaced (if not). The C'tan, if destroyed (Which barely ever happens, they're really tough), reform in a new body. So yeah.

So they rise/are raised again. Being reanimated would actually mean they "live" again, because animus means soul. Thus "reanimation" describes bringing the soul back into the body to revive it.
