The radiation emitted by the magnetic field of Jupiter (which is millions of times more massive than our own) would be instantly fatal to humans. On top of that, Jupiter's gravity would pull you in too fast and too hard for you to be able to resist. You would eventually be crushed by the enormous pressure exerted by the planet.

@Ettenyl56 Actually they don;t bounce off anything, just like rocks break up in our atmosphere, they break up on jupiter aswell, but because of jupiters pressure it breaks up faster than it would on earth so it does look like it collides when it's not. Though "I Believe" jupiter does have a earth like planet base in the center covered by millions of feet of liquid gas which slowly turns into a air like gas which is what we see when we see jupiter.

I think all the planets do have a rocky surface, though like jupiter, the planet itself could be about as big as earth, and just have a overgrown atmosphere and the planet rock itself submerged under liquid gas!

That's a common misconception, but Jupiter has actually a surface. But it's not a surface like in that way you know it from Mars or Earth.

Of the 4 gas giants in our system, Jupiter will most likely to be the hardest to colonize with floating cities.

you know that planets are in orbit? what you're talking about is to put a space station in orbit with the sun. and how do you know the space station will be aligned with earth and mars? you can stop on the station for a month or 2 to wait until mars is aligned for another jump but this will be much less fuel efficient. with the same fuel you could take a short-cut.

Yeah when a planet is that huge they are just short of being classified a Brown Dwarf, which is basically a failed star. Jupiter would have needed about 5 to 10 times more mass to have gotten close to achieving fusion in its core and becoming a star.

Probably not, due to the intense weather patterns in Jupiter. Note that winds in Jupiter have speeds between 700-900 MPH, not counting Jupiter's famous, giant red spot. There have been missions from NASA that sent space probes into the Jovian atmosphere to better understand the Jovian atmospheric conditions and properties of this gas giant.
