Uhh... Jupiter emit massiv ammount of radiation so even if u were standing on its moon europe which has a ice surface (not to mention the pontensial of life under it)
u would get fried inside by the radiation it emits
@DarklightEternal it would not be possible, even in the future, to fly into the atmosphere of Jupiter. The radiation emitted by the magnetic field of Jupiter (which is millions of times more massive than our own) would be instantly fatal to humans. On top of that, Jupiter's gravity would pull you in too fast and too hard for you to be able to resist. You would eventually be crushed by the enormous pressure exerted by the planet.
really nice video , i like the twist at the end . The great red spot would be the last place i would want to enter on the planat . it would be the hell of this reality . Peace .
According to the latest data from the NASA website, Neptune is no longer considered a "gas" giant. Recent technological data now shows that Neptune is actually a water giant with both liquid and ice upon the surface. Another thing to consider is that when comet shoemaker levy 9 hit the surface of Jupiter, just what was it bouncing off of and causing such spectacular fire works in the atmosphere of Jupiter, if Jupiter, indeed, is just a "gas" giant?
@Ettenyl56 Actually they don;t bounce off anything, just like rocks break up in our atmosphere, they break up on jupiter aswell, but because of jupiters pressure it breaks up faster than it would on earth so it does look like it collides when it's not. Though "I Believe" jupiter does have a earth like planet base in the center covered by millions of feet of liquid gas which slowly turns into a air like gas which is what we see when we see jupiter.
Jupiter probably has a surface but its probably alot different than earth or mars. but we will never know, lol its kind of stupid to fly in a giant storm.
for second commets down you are right kind of becaus very VERY deep into jupiter is a small rocky hot core as hot as the suns suface...dont beleive me look it up
@gogtjgog Actually that is just a theory, it's not proven! Think about this, of all the comets and asteroids that hit jupiter from the start of it's creation, where the fluck all the rock went to? I think all the planets do have a rocky surface, though like jupiter, the planet itself could be about as big as earth, and just have a overgrown atmosphere and the planet rock itself submerged under liquid gas!
@devilmaycry12341 wow how did you know? its called study and reading buddy, of course ti could have a core size of the earth, however if you landed on it it would look like your inside a void, i dont believe you would see the clouds of jupiter because you would be thousands of miles inside the planet that u wouldint see light, just darkness, besides u wouldint be able to land on it because the winds and weather on it would the ship and crew apart
Jupiter does have a liquid iron core, on top of it there is probably a solid rocky core. Astronomers assume that the liquid and solid cores may even be as large as 50% of the planets' total size.
Nothing is solid in jupiter. its al gases and is considered a brown dwarf star at the same time a planet. Yes, it's core is solid but you'd be a mashed potato when u reach the core

wrong its not molten the pressure keeps it solid and not molten covored by solid hydrogen layers with a surface of liquid hydorgen with helium gases atop... or so Ive been told by research
why the hell we want floating city in jupiter it is safer in orbit of jupiter...but floating city or some base between mars and earth will be great thing.
@AlkoholikDub What the hell you mean by "having a floating city or base between earth and mars"?
you know that planets are in orbit? what you're talking about is to put a space station in orbit with the sun. and how do you know the space station will be aligned with earth and mars? you can stop on the station for a month or 2 to wait until mars is aligned for another jump but this will be much less fuel efficient. with the same fuel you could take a short-cut.
@DarklightEternal Yeah only Bespin had oxygen and was obviously temperately stable because they could walk outside. The amount of radiation and poisonous gas and lack of sun heat as well as different gravity makes it completely illogical to think about colonizing near Jupiter. Colonizing on any discovered planet is illogical.
The size might be the same, it must be heavier however when you consider the giant amounts of asteroids which crashed into jupiter since billions of years.
Jupiter has a surface, but no life can exsist on it. It's gravity is so great you would be a fucking pancake as soon as you enter the atmosphere. What about Saturn!? <:o
Yeah when a planet is that huge they are just short of being classified a Brown Dwarf, which is basically a failed star. Jupiter would have needed about 5 to 10 times more mass to have gotten close to achieving fusion in its core and becoming a star.
@Allinn4ever no, jupiter is a gas giant if you aproach it you would get crushed by helium or burned at 200c or zapped by lighting or be killed by jupiters MASSIVE gravity.
neptune and urane, probably have a water ocean (with amonia and other organic compounds diluted on it)...this ocean has more volume than the earth obviously
so its a water planet with a hughe atmosphere
jupiter does have a liquid hydrogen ocean and below it.. hydrogen in a more compressed state "metallic hydrogen" they call it
Considering the temperatures are FAAAAAAAR too cold a water ocean is impossible. Not sure where you got this information from but it is wrong. It MAY have a liquid ocean primarily composed of liquid methan, but no water(at the very least in liquid form).

To land we will requiere the presence of a floating city.
