I also think those who ask why CGI wasn't used are underestimating how much time it would have taken to make it look as realistic as real sets. These guys whipped this up in 2 weeks. I don't know if a team of CGI animators could have done all that in the same amount of time and made it look as good. Sometimes the old-fashioned way is better!

@deelybob it all depends on the experience of the cgi animator, if he is used to make realistic looking subject, doing those things would take him more or less the same time.

To all people suggesting to animate this in c4d or 3ds max: You are right. You could do that. But it shows that you don't have a sense for art. art is also about the way the art is created and the effort that it took. It's not always about the result. Do it with c4d and you wouldn't have such a great story to tell about the project.

Well, it's a pretty good video from an artistic standpoint, but after all just a huge waste of money. Why did they have to use real gold for example? it would have been so much cheaper just to use some spray paint, which would have the same effect....

@vincesiy123 AAE and Premiere are video editors. You still need footages/videos to use in them. Where will you find or how will you make these footages? If you try to make one, do you have the equipments? And finally, its a doesn't take mush thought to see that they use similar software to put all this footages they take together in one video.
