  • hummmm... :/

    no no no..

    practice..

  • I liked the "under the leg" part at the end. Very entertaining!

  • @farlem1... your not getting any more cakes

  • people need to stop being so damn critical... accuracy doesn't make a piece memorable or good, it doesn't put any feeling into it, it doesn't show you the person is loving what they are doing... it makes it accurate :| analyzing every piece you hear someone play is not you being smart, its you losing the sense of what music is ACTUALLY about... so get a grip and just fucking enjoy the sound!!!

  • @ecofriendlyboobs aw shutup you know nothing about this instrument.

  • @ecofriendlyboobs kiddin on brengh...

  • Wow! You play very well! Bien tocado colega! ánimo, acá abundan muchos envidiosos... keep on playing!

  • well, i think u did bad ass and the leg thing is good, its like u said, its your interpretation and ur pleasing the audience, its not a competition. Keep on playing man !

  • I think that you have a great talent, maybe the passing years will give you that experience that everyone needs for playing music but you're really talented and you're young so keep doing... sorry for my english...

  • I love the way he pushes the marimba off stage at the end, as though he's on the way to his next gig...

  • wow buddy, from what i understood through freetranslation dot com...

i did the under the leg to please the crowd, that was the point. i wasnt performing this for a bunch of musicians that know everything about music and musicality, i played it for parents and students at the school i go to. they dont give a damn how musically i play it, they just want something entertaining, and thats what i gave them.

  • @peterrifel2pro4u he also said "tipical american". I told him that what he said was true, but was it caused by your race?? This man has a really wrong way of thinking.

  • I study with gordon, and i think you should try to get all the right notes and make a lot more MUSIC out of it. I mean it sounds good, but you should get into it and get out of the notes on the page. gordon would approve though, just hit the right notes, thats a big thing, why miss notes if all the right ones are on the music.

P.S. Look at the middle section.

  • Hahaha that yes, great.. :')

But.. don't you need to put your marimba a bit higher? It's quite low.. I don't mean the tone, but the height.

  • haha. very nice at the end. although, i could tell that you weren't comfortable performing this. your stroke was jerky, and your double verticles looked like downstrokes. that definitely should not be happening.

besides that and the missed notes though, good performance.

  • its written for 4 mallets. its a style, and requires a certain grip (although there are different types of the grip). You control the interval between mallets by rolling your thumb over the stick, which rolls itself over your index finger as well

  • how do you play with two mallets in each hand? is it a style or do you have to skim the piece so that it allows two mallets in each hand, for instance octaves?

  • I play this too. Pretty good!

    I enjoyed the "YEAH!"

I'm gonna have someone do that for me.

  • nice ending

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA that was awesome at the end! Great performance even with the slips. I'm gonna try that...

    Gordon Stout rules!

  • haha that one lady who yelled "yeah!" in thte middle of your preformance was uber funny for me. I preety much birsted into (quiet) laughter...hehe

I thought it sounded uber cool, and you got a huge applause!

  • uber
