@EvilFartHead69  This is a good one. I don't know if i would have though of using 4449 on the BNSF railway tracks. I'd have used the ATSF 4-8-4 #3751 or the UP 9000 class 4-12-2.

@EvilFartHead69 Do you think MSTS is overall better than TRS 2006? I'd thought of one particular character resembling Daniel from The Full Bucketniers that isn't available in Trainz. There's a chance that two or three famous engines now on static display would play that role. See if you can guess which one will play that role.

You have to download SPDAYLT.ZIP and SP4449.ZIP but also requires SPS700A.ZIP for cabview and All other sounds (except the whistle comes with it)

Wow. Then, how do you really work those steamers out of simple controls? I can't get above 35mph or so before the boiler pressure drops down and the train doesn't have enough steam to keep going..

if you don't have auto-fireman on, that could be your problem. also, have you tried taking the reverser back once you get momentum?

Not sure on auto-fireman, but yeah the reverser I've done.

then im not sure. check the auto fireman. if all else fails, give me a list of EXACTLY what you do when you start the train.
