  • Lol, I love that still propeller effect :D

  • no entendi el video cucu

  • TOO LOW FLAPS TOO LOW GEAR TOO LOW FLAPS TOO LOW GEAR PULL UP PULL UP PULL UP

is probably what the pilots were hearing.

  • tem que ser piloto e louco ao mesmo tempo

  • yellow knife has some great pilots

  • Dad, look, a plane that flies without using it's engines!!!

Oh, relax, son, probably another chinese invention...

  • So incredibly fake.

  • @RossWZA Troll some more. Really, isn't there anything more creative for people to say then 'Fake'? This meme has more holes in it than my socks!

And good lord, that is LOW!

  • @WrathConstantine cant you see the blades are not spinning as it comes past

  • @RossWZA That's because of the camera's framerate. Video is simply a series of still pictures. If each of those pictures, or "frames", was captured at a rate divisible by the propellor's rpm, they would appear to stand still.

  • @RossWZA its becouse frequency of capturing pictures of camera is same as rotation of blades .. thats why it produces still picture of rotating blades .. or just read something about frequency, how camera works and stuff around :)

  • @RossWZA

Your mothers vagina is fake :D

  • this might be a silly question but why does this small plane have 4 engines?? atr72 is a bigger plane and only has 2??

  • @heywatchme101 Because it looks cool :P but seriously i dont really know too.

  • @heywatchme101 because this plane is from 1975 the engines arent as strong as the new ones from ATR-72.

  • @heywatchme101 I think it's to help with the STOL capabilities...?

  • I know this is real but at 0:05 it totally looks like an Flight Simulator X shot. Nice Textures :P

  • crazy brooooooo hahahahahahahahah :D

  • Tindi - at the Float base, who was flying?

  • Tindi - who was flying?

  • how can it make a low pass with nose down? it is not a helicopter...

  • @fidan2fast check out the flaps

  • That's fake.

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • was he picking up ice cubes?

  • They're nice planes

  • Fake -_-

  • @TheGogr i didn't belive you could be so stupid

  • wow down nose attitude...

  • As a Captain for Pan Am Express, I have flown the Dash7 6000 hours. The Dash7 will always be on of my favorite aircraft. Not very fast, 230 max, 14000 feet, but it could maneuver, designed to minimize the impact of airframe icing more than other tprops i've flown, comfortable, engine failure was a non event

We flew hubs out of JFK, MIA, LAX. I recall being on a six mile final to Nassau at 16000 feet due to severe turb down low,....and still had to add power on short final :)

  • Where I come from we call that tail high, not nose low. not that its any diff

  • That one spectator almost got diced!

  • R.I.P Dash 7 :(

  • @butterbean444 Air Greenland use them

  • Wow look at that nose down attitude!

  • @Sting3733 Cool looking and caused by the flaps being down I believe (I am no expert)

  • @bbjsw10 You're right: the faster a plane goes, the lower its nose, and slower equals nose-up due to the wing's angle of attack relative to the plane's speed to maintain lift and level flight. In this shot they're going as fast as that particular flap setting will allow. This nose-down attitude is true with any plane, especially if you look here for a video of an Ilyushin IL-76 doing a nosegear-drag on a runway with its mains still in the air.

  • look fake and cartoony : /

  • the dash 7 is the best plane EVER they should have built more than 113

  • @butterbean444 You wana hear sad? The airport at Bangor, Maine had at least 10 of them lined up to be broken up. They were in process of being dismantled, engines, control surfaces, empennage being removed. Heartbreaking.

  • @SenorSpode :( dude l would so buy one and clear out all the seats make like a flyin house that makes me want to cry for retiring such a beautiful plane

  • @butterbean444 In spite of the plane's incredible performance, I think the reason why it's fading into extinction is because it uses 4 PT-6A engines. Now that fuel's pricier and it costs more to overhaul 4 small turbines versus 2 larger ones--plus with newer engines being much more powerful and efficient--the DHC-7 will simply go to smaller outfits, get pricier to maintain and simply end up in a flying museum or two. It's a sad ending but a remarkable history for a remarkable plane.

  • the engins arnt spining

  • the camera has a low frame rate so it records and leaves a small gap inbetween each frame and in that gap if you had a better camera you would see it move.

  • the engine's look shut down ?? really incredible..

  • God that looks fake..

    Still... incredible!

  • is this fake??

  • @syngates4life11 no how could this be fake

  • @laservader1 well just the quality and steadiness of the plane made it look completely animated. as well as the low speed. but i believe its real just making sure

  • that was fucking low!

  • Wow!!

  • aint that a dash 8 ?

  • @pilotman1009 If you take a look at the the description it will tell you it's a Dash 7. Dash 8's are Twin engine.

  • @sailesh2001

    you're incredibly stupid

  • @albertomannil No. You're incredibly stupid.

  • @sailesh2001 what!?

  • epic

  • props are not moving cause the PIC is Bob Hoover comin back for landing!!!

  • what the heck! the proppelers aren't spinning!!!!

  • Because the camera is recording like at 1 frame per second.

  • @cyther39 That is an effect when you use a camera with a frame rate similar to the movement of the propellers, it only seems there not moving but they are.

  • mas issso ai foi um belo de um rasante! BRAZIL

  • why does it look like the engines arn't moving

  • for example:

the camera takes 50 pic per second, and the prop is also moving with 50 rps, the blade of the prop is always at the same position ,when the camera takes a picture

  • slow frame rate by the video camera.

  • they have empty load and low fuel and it has 4 powerfull engine, so he is using just one engine.

  • your a fucking idiot

  • @sideslide23 You tit.

  • @tomibewi Boob it up egg Sucken GONNA TRASH

  • been a while since Northern Ontario has been using the Dash 7, now we use the Dash 8. I miss this Plane. LOL, great shot!

  • the Dash8 400 is way better than the Dash7 because it has a higher seating capacity and its more fuel effecient.

  • yeah, no kidding. Thanx tips.

  • You can't compare the 2 cause they were built with a totally different purpose in mind. Dash 7 STOL aircraft 400 not! There are airports the 7 can go into, the 400 wish it could. when it comes to speed, capacity the 400 is brilliant . When it comes to landing in less than 500ft 7 is brilliant

  • @Salaison I agree for the better part, but still the Q400 and its siblings are impressive in the STOL category as well. They were not designed with STOL in mind, but when the fully-loaded Q400 I was on in Seattle rolled 3,000 feet, nosed up and climbed like a stripe-assed ape, it was still very impressive. The Dash7 speaks for itself as a STOL plane: AWESOME.

  • My husband just finished a 4 year assignment flying the Dash for the US Army here at Ft. Bliss. Great aircraft, I'm sure he will miss flying it.

  • Hi all that was my brother that was piloting this plane, this fly bye was in Yellowknife NWT Canada

Unfortunately he passed away on June 5 2008 after a long battle with cancer

  • nice video

  • This a great plane i flew it for a year. A real stol plane. We flew it to paridise island runway length 1000 ft.

  • thats a lie

  • Its not a lie

  • i said it in a question form i really cant believe the dash 7 can land in 1000 ft runway i fly dash8 so i was a bit enthusiastic when i said that

  • sorry ..the dash7 was designed for short runways.

  • nice shot!!! great job!

  • groovy

  • niiice!

  • first time i see a dash turboprop with 4 engine propellers. Nice! but still i like the 2 engine model better ;)

  • ha so slow

  • that was cool

  • Very cool, I love that plane
