When he was at his peak he was one of the sexiest guys on the soaps. And a good actor, too (a lot of soap stars aren't). That ET story made it seem like he was completely blackballed from acting, that no one anywhere would hire him. Was he really THAT bad? Or maybe he was just so persistent in wanting better scripts to the point where no one wanted to deal with him anymore? Who knows? At any rate, it's sad he not acting anymore. I hope things are better for him now. I wish him the best.

thank you for posting this... I think the rumors are true that he came out of the closet a few years ago and said that he was gay... to bad steve and alice couldnt have come back in a major storyline, i think it could have saved the show R.I.P. Another World 1964-1999...
He would be great as a Acting Coach, and since GL is falling on Hard Times, why don't the ressurect him on another show. Come on, people. It's been 33 Years since he got Fired from AW, time's too short to be petty.
Looking back, George Reinholt was really the very first "Sex Symbol" on Daytime, and to this day the Alice/Steve/Rachel Love Triangle is still the best in the history of Another World.

ONE LIFE TO LIVE hired them but the magic was gone. Reinholt was fired again but Courtney continued on until 1983.
