What if someone's home was being robbed, or someone was murdering a family a few miles down the road, and the sheriff's deputies couldnt get there in time to stop it, because they were responding to some bs claims of animal abuse... that call actually put people's lives in jepordy, and the dept's actions did aswell. Idiocy runs rampant yet again, using 8 deputies to do the work of 1.

I have no problem with the police responding to a call of animals abuse if it was reported by an EYEwitness, not an INTERNETwitness, where anything can be faked. To send that number of officers for a call " about someone choking a goat" does not need that number of officers. And the others are correct, how they gonna respond to a threat on a person if they are all there?
The cops should have gotten a sign statement for the person what reported it. That way they could have charged the person with filing a police false report.
Dave could have told the cops go pound sand get a search warrant. With out a copy of the video or the signed statement would not have had pc to issue a warrant.

Your totally right about PETA & ASPCA started out with a good idea, but they got taken over by the extremists. It is rather sad. I am all for ethical treatment for animals (including human animals) but that doesn't mean we need to stop eating meat etc.

small town police have nothin better to do then to show up and be on your show...lol I am a big animal lover and volenteer at my local shelter and their is a big difrence between chocking and petting. Be sure to file a complaint to the police department, that way they think twice about sending that many police (who are on the tax payer dime) to investigate such a stupid claim. Remember, if PETA and groups like them are the only ones complaining, they are making the police work for them. Aspca and peta should be sued for filing a false report with the local LEO's, I mean the ip address gives the adress and can be traced fairly easily but this abuse is rampart and unethical. Your totally right about PETA & ASPCA started out with a good idea, but they got taken over by the extremists. It is rather sad. I am all for ethical treatment for animals (including human animals) but that doesn't mean we need to stop eating meat etc.
Glad things went ok for you & the cops understood what was going on. Though of course they might have reacted differently if you had not had live broadcasting of what was going on. Cops do tend to be afraid of the camera.
