both technically brilliant, but eddie got WAY more soul than michael and comes across more humble, like. what kinda might bother us who love eddie hazel is that he was in the federal pen for a couple of years and what happenned is pfunk blew up famous at that time. Michael was there playing maggot brain in every arena and got crowned king of pfunk guitar. i'm sure there's tons of 'fans' who don't know eddie's name.

I don't know why it is that so many people have to do this Michael Hampton vs. Eddie Hazel thang. Both of them are great! Eddie is the master and Michael, the apprentice. Michael plays an awesome Maggot Brain and Eddie plays it in a style that cannot be duplicated. Repect to them both!

As always, Eddie Hazel rocked it out! Mike Hampton should have showed some respect and backed up so Eddie could lead. This is one performance that Mike and Blackbyrd could not drown out Eddie. RIP Eddie "King Funkadelic" Hazel!
