The audience sick of the goody two shoes heroes from before, led to a rush of anti-'hero's' swinging to the other extreme.

Generally if you think it's fun to watch Detroit boil into space you're probably more suitable for villain material.

Although then again if you do it with genuinely funny one-liners the audience will love you either way, come to think of it.
