So young, yet so focused and articulate, and didn't forget to credit the team who worked on the car for the race. Thats why he remains the best sportsman in history.
@thehitchrules I like Piquet, he's an idol. three times F1 world champion, multimillionaire with his company here in Brazil, a great entrepreneur. you need to wash your mouth man!!! He only talks the truth not what people wanna hear.
@lucardi1000 And here in the U.K Murray Walker is an absolute legend and recognized as the best sports commentator we have ever known .. He is also WIDELY respected by drivers of all countries old and knew. and throughout the F1 fraternity as a whole. So sunshine ,I would suggest you watch YOUR mouth. There may be many people who respect Piquet as a driver but there are many more who don't respect him as a man, Murray on the other hand is respected UNIVERSALLY .Simple as that.
@thehitchrules I understand Murray Walker is a legend in your country. That's because you guys didn't have any great F1 driver. Who? Damon Hill and Nigel Mansell??? lol. Two assholes, only made shit!!!
@lucardi1000 Listen up you numb-skull . Jim Clark and Jackie Stewart mean anything to you ?, Mansell was a fantastic driver. Often made Piquet look like a chump . You are pig ignorant. Don't waste my time with your childish , ridiculous comments .
@thehitchrules Yeah, this ones were great. I agree. Look, i didn't offend you. That's my point of view. But if you like only one point of view, congratulations...you're near of germany yet!!!
@lucardi1000 Murray Walker is a legend in our country (and others) because of his wonderful high-energy, descriptive commentary. Your argument that we lionise a commentator because we don't have a good drivers makes no sense.
Admittedly we don't have many drivers with a record like Fittipaldi, Piquet or Senna, but don't forget there have been lots of inept Brazilian drivers in recent years (Marques, Diniz, Di Grassi, Nelshino Piquet etc)
@lucardi1000 You know "the truth" can be a very subjective term.
Senna had great wisdom and an eloquence of speaking and transparency of character that few people, let alone racing drivers have. If he hadn't have died he probably would have gone on to win at least 1 more championship as well.
You may be right in saying that Piquet is a forgotten master. Still, if all he does is offend everyone then he isn't doing anything to change that situation.
@wks1978 Only i more WDC?? Are you kidding me? He was planning on racing until 2000, with a change to Ferrari already in the works for ?97/'98 (when MS signed and soon won 5 titles in a row...). Senna would have won more, not to mention that he would have won '88 and '89 (he had too many mechanic failures) and also '92 and '93 (but was BLOCKED from Williams, the dominant team, by Prost)! Senna would have had between 7+ WDCs! Piquet's a jerk who blocked Senna from Brabham in 1984 = COWARD.
@BonakiD24 wasnt the next race. he died 8 years later in the san marino grand prix. these were his lotus days . then came maclaren and then the fateful williams.
@SilsdenCougar It was only because a mechanical problem and other issues that he didn't qualify for Imola as well. Toleman was having a dispute with Pirelli after switching to Michelin and decided not to practice on Friday and on Saturday it was wet and Senna's car had a fuel pressure problem so he never had an opportunity to do a flying lap.
