Hi, I have had this radio for over a year now and it is still going strong. I do expect to change the Chargepak next year because Li-ion batterys only tend to last for 2 years anyway - that was always the case with my laptops aswell. The charge cable is very brittle and thin I agree but mine has not broken.
Lutonsribe, for how long did this particular Pure Move last? Is it still working? How often do you use it? These questions apply to others who use/ used this DAB.
Did any of you use Pure Charge PAK? I bought Pure One for 49.99. Worked fine using electric cable. But those cables snap very quickly. And a Charge PAK Pure batteries cost a further 40.00 plus postage and packing of 7.00. That's pounds stirling. So, isn't Pure trying to con people to over-spend by deliberately using thin, weak electric cables?
I used a Pure DAB with a thin electric cable. And that breaks too easily. When I phoned 'Pure' , they said they don't replace the cables because they are strong. Tha't not true, I had 2 cables snap easily through daily use. They never lasted more than 3 months. Would Pure Batteries be cheaper? (Good video review by the way!)
More multiplexes are needed and better bit rates and with the threat and no, mind does not do the upgrade DAB+, it might be better giving it a miss.
Sounds crazy, knowing all the pit falls and then saying I'm not regretting getting what I got.
So far over 17 and half hours on Duracell Rechargeable batteries are proving wow.
I wanted Christian music stations that was only previously on Internet, satellite and AM in Stoke on trent, so at last having it in my car and my area and beyond is a winner
I take mine to work, I love this little radio I love Kiss breakfast and on DAB its great. Very portable and the sounds great. I ditched my old FM because of hissing no matter were I out the radio in work always had terrible hissing
I have the Pure ONE Classic, and the battery life on that unit is amazing with 6 C size batteries. I don't think the Pure Move is available in Australia where I live, but again, as I understand it, the Pure Move is compatible only with the original DAB standard and not DAB+ as we are using here. Can this unit receive FM stations? Is the battery user replaceable? Does it have an alarm clock?
Some of the Pures are coming with the upgrade, so it says on their products guide, specs etc on their site.
Mine does not, but having read the reviews in Argos, I though, oh, go for that.
Sony might be another good make and on offer at Sainsbury here in the UK, so I could have saved a fair bit.
But I'm happy with my Roberts Eco_logic 1, so far giving me close to 18 hours as I type this, day 3 testing, see my video, on rechargeable Duracell batteries, so can't grumble, for the car & works well.
Nice Nice Video. I really loved your video. Youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed, check out this site called tubeviews [dot net] It has really done wonders for me, I have built 3 Channels up with videos at top in position and this is my forth channel i'm going to working on.
A really useful review, thank you.

Just to answer some other questions here: This model is in the Uk so only works on the original DAB as far as I know.
The battery (Chargepak) is built in so needs to be sent to Pure for replacement.
The radio does have FM but does not have any alarm, sleep timer function at all.
