There are some great fenders out there. The main problem with them is even in the american made ones you can pick up two 'identical' basses and one will be beautiful, the other will be it's ugly twin. Warwicks just tend to be no nonsense good construction consistently. That being said I'd drop any of my warwicks for a real 62 jazz. :)
this is cool, i'll have to try out M. Miller strings next time i go get set up. I got recomended GHS when i first started playing, and thats what i've used since then.
hEy! you play so great!!! i just bought that warwick corvette std and for wot i c in ur clip...just cant wait for it arrives!!! way better than a rockbass cuz of the MEC pickups...so small...so cool!!! and yea ur a genius:P
yea rockbass r nice and xpensive basses 2 but warwick wons in tone and quality cuz of the exotic woods and construction...but rockbass by warwick r cool basses 2 no doubt of that
theres is a cheaper model, instead of bubinga wood for the body they use swamp ash....its like $899 i think and doesnt come with active electronics....definately not as good as the "standard" std corvette..(cost about $1000-1200)
The problem with Warwicks, well especially the Corvettes is that they unfortunately have a ´phallus´attachment pointing at your head (see video!) but I love the sound, I think the best bass sound I´ve heard, I was actually thinkning about the Rockbasses when I meant cheap but obviously the Bubinga wood (what is Bubinga wood?) is the shinny.
Dude, warwick has got those from 2 or more grand, but I think that you get fucked with then. Thats just too much money for a bass, this corvette is nice-sounding and it looks great!
hey man awsome job flawless technique, im goin to have to try out those fat beams, the warwick emp coated strings are burning holes in my pocket. your a big fella it looks like your goin to eat that bass how tall are you?
Its an awesome amp, sound quality is and tone are really nice, and it has an XLR output on the front which is great for recording.
only complaint is that if you like your tone real deep and warm its a just little quiet when playing with a band, but it has another 1/4" output in the back that can handle a second cab, which is a handy feature and if you put a 200watt 2x10 on there youve get more than enough power unless your playing a pretty big gig
the only complaint i would make is that the type of material used for the frets makes a little too much noise, not like the typical annoying buzz or anything, and its pretty easy to just EQ out by reducing the treble a little bit
yup, just the bolt-on....i played both bolt-on and neck-thru and i didnt feel that much of a difference...at least not enough to justify the price difference
Great, man. I also love my Warwick corvette

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Well, it's sounds like any cheap bass going thru a sansamp or at least an Eq where all the mida where cut and the high and low end were boosted.
logicalbass 2 years ago
bubinga wood gives out a really thin tone - a good thin, to me the tone sounds pretty good :)
reminds me when zender still used the streamer haha

shit, how tall are you, the bass looks like a toy

Do you find the fat beams easier to play on your wick then nickel strings?
Also whats your action like low?
chjohnst 3 years ago
yeah fat beams are hella easy on the fingers
action is pretty low but not as low as it could be...a nice balance between playability and unnecessary buzzing
gcrumpets 3 years ago
Is that the neck-thru version?
WalliceTheWallBall 2 years ago
good, like the technique. but repetitive. spice it up a little bit :)

This is the best cheapest bass I've heard and a lot of people diss it on the bass forums.
stoob1969 4 years ago
cheap? the corvette standard costs 600-900€, just which model you have.
Stahlross2 4 years ago
theres is a cheaper model, instead of bubinga wood for the body they use swamp ash....its like $899 i think and doesnt come with active electronics....definately not as good as the "standard" std corvette..(cost about $1000-1200)
gcrumpets 4 years ago
well, i have the corvette std. ash and i think the bubinga has much more attack and pound as the ash.
the prices at us (germany) are very strange.
sometimes the ash costs about 800€ (~1000$ i guess) and the bubinga 650€, sometimes its just reversed!
Stahlross2 4 years ago
@stoob1969 yeah, warwicks are dissed because there are no other basses at the world as *yawn* fender jazz and precision. its always the same..
Stahlross2 4 years ago

stoob1969 4 years ago
you mean the upper horn? yeah warwicks just look organic. and not as plastic like others.
bubinga is a kind of tropical wood. also the neck (ovangkol, africa) and the fretboard (wenge).
the neck is the piece which makes the warwick sound absoluteley unique and makes the warwick growl.
Stahlross2 4 years ago
I´m getting one!
stoob1969 4 years ago
cheapest??!! this is one of the most expensive guitars iv eva come across!
travisissexc 4 years ago

stoob1969 4 years ago
haha fair enuff lol
travisissexc 4 years ago
it is very expensive but it is in a cheaper range for warwick as is only the corvette standard but they are amazing.
geddyowns 4 years ago
Dude, it's in the cheaper range of Warwicks... nice bass though but the top end Warwicks are like 2,3 even 4 or more grand.
funkyjimbob 3 years ago
Dude, warwick has got those from 2 or more grand, but I think that you get fucked with then. Thats just too much money for a bass, this corvette is nice-sounding and it looks great!

id rate it 5/5, top notch.

gcrumpets 4 years ago
damn man, i just love the sound of warwicks!

did you switch the electronics out or did that vette come active?
Jsingles589 4 years ago
It came active, but i had to do some searching, just cuz most of the ones on the net and in my local guitar center were passive.
in my opinion the active electronics make it way smoother, with lots more bottom while not becoming boomy and undistinct
