First I wanna say I love both Metallica and Megadeth, just so people know I'm not a hater. however, that section you speak of was originally written by hammet when he was in Exodus, and the song die by his hands was only on the band's live demo. Also, Mustaine contributed heavily to KEA and a bit to RTL, but everything else (except leper messiah on MoP) was Cliff and the others. I do feel that Cliff was the spirit of the band.

You're wrong man, Mustaine didn't participate in the Kill 'em all recording because he was fired months ago, and Kirk Hammet was already in Metallica, however, there are many songs in the Kill 'em album where Mustaine participated in the composition, like "The 4 horsemen", which was created only by Mustaine, and that's the reason why in the first Megadeth album the song appears as "Mechanix". Anyway, Metallica was very good in their first albums, but Megadeth was, is and for sure will be better!
