Just by the way he can tap the strings and have it play a neat chord, I'm pretty sure it's not standard tuning. From what I've gathered, there are all kinds of tunings people like this dude use, but it's really simple - just tune some strings a whole step up or down (the strings you choose to tune are up to you), and go from there. There are also many other "standard" tunings aside from the eadgbe. You can check the tuning in goo goo doll's "black baloon" to start.
