hi kuay1, i think i have met this deciple of grandmaster sim you mention. manage to persuade him in demonstrating his tuishou on me ;p I actually wanted to attact him with my full force, but he seems like able to read my mind, starting to exert force only, i fly off liao. shiok ! can't forget this experience.
I heard that this deciple of grandmaster sim pooh ho is not teaching taiji tuishou at all, maybe not a full time instructor, very low profile. Heard that he used to be a lion dance coach in nam wah pai last time . .
hi ! may i know the name of grandmaster sim deciple you learning from ? I know sim pooh ho have a deciple in singapore with very powerful tuishou . curious to know the name .
Sim Poh Ho had moved to China. he is accepting trainees over the world, charges no kiding.. FK high... Any way he has some deciples who is teaching in Singapore.
Ha.. I am learning from one of his deciple currently, after 6 months my push hans skill can bit many of my classmate in my previous class. No joking matter!
hi hogumamu! i agree with you, try grandmaster sim deciple skill first, no need go overseas :) anyway afew of my frens tried already, said his desciple is already very powerful loh ! grandmaster sim difinitely is even much more imppressive :), imagine he can throw people without physical contact . salute
kuay1-I tink we are talking about the same person, actually alot of people in "wai jia martial art" & "lion dance" know about this deciple of grandmaster sim. maybe those who have doubt about how taiji can be apply on self defence should go look for this person to see how song(relax)is he, also experience this amazing feeling of being throw out by pure qi,
kuay1-hi fren! This deciple of sim poh ho that you mention iZit in s'pore ? you know ? I have see a very good tuishou demo in youtube by grandmaster sim desiple.
ya! ya! ya! I have heard some people mentioning about sim pooh ho deciple tuishou in singapore also, hand like no need to use energy, onces opponent exert force will fly away before realising. tink this deciple of sim pooh ho should be one of the instructors doing LKJ demo with grandmaster sim on 3/12/2006 . but don't know who is the one, name also dun know? can go see them doing baishou da fa in youtube also, can see some real impressive one .
alot of my friends from shaolin, lion & dragon dance side (with strong arm power) said that there is no chance for exerting any strength when contacting with sim pooh ho deciple hand during tuishou, really can escape from being throw out by him.
sim pooh ho taiji tuishou is very impressive, my friends whom had challenge with one of his deciple before tell mi that the hand is like totally empty, like no need to use any strength. but when you try to exert any forces on him, you are being throw out already, he seems to be able to read the opponent mind. really no chances to escape
and besides... throwing someone into the air doesnt solve the problem. If this was combat oriented he would be slaming people downwards into the ground
I love watching this clip.Grandmaster Sim Pooh Ho is really great Qigong master. If you look at REPELLING ATTACKER under Tags Qigong Grandmaster Sim Poh Huat,a worst demo I ever seen.
I THANK YOU for recommending REPELLING ATTACKER under Tags Qigong Grandmaster Sim Poh Huat, I had watched all Grandmaster Sim POh HUat's Video over and over again, I found meself really addicted to his video.
PRECISELY PRECISELY, all video are opened for public viewing if they are genuinely or should i say legally fit to be there, that is why they are there for, not a single soul can stop anyone from viewing isn't it? Here I sense animosity, direct condemnation without basis, I think a martial artist will have some speech discipline surely if you do have a master, you will be taught about this. How much or how deep you know about qigong? I doubt.
Woledage - Grandmaster Sim Pooh Ho is residing in Kunming, Yunan China. He only conducts upgrading for students and disciples who are learning in Singapore.
hi HBCHEE and woledage, other than from Singapore, he also conducts upgrading for his disciples from Taiwan, Chile etc. And yes he resides in Kunming.
hi, does anyone here know what happened to the video of Grandmaster Sim Pooh Ho demonstrating the Yang Shao Hou yong jia (fast sequence)? It was on youtube, but now i can't find it.
But laugh about Tai Chi give a skinny favor to you, because by all the martial artists who know the secrets of kung fu (or the real power of it) is known, that there is nobody more powerful like a Master of Tai Chi.
I'm a true believer in CHI POWER, and I truly want to see this great chi master or his students fight in UFC or PRIDE. Imagine this great chi master or his students knocking down Matt Hughes or Mark Coleman with his Chi power...Wouldn't it be SOMETHING???
For your information my dear martial art expert, Master Sim Pooh Ho have had students who became champions of the Asia and He also has requested for many armies to teach them. You really think that master Sim Pooh Ho doesn't know how to fight?
What I believe that for a true martial artist the fight is not the bottom of it practices the most important is to keep learning and improving themselves and to reach "Hua" (I don't think that you know what "Hua" means, but you can look out it).
The violence and hardness of the fights that you call "reals" are doing most of the times in cages (something very "real" and martial) are of a very low level, for the subtlety and energy level that only few of the true connoisseurs of the true martial art obtain. For them as for master Sim Pooh Ho is not necessary to have big muscles or a par of wrestling techniques like your two champions Matt Hughes or Mark Coleman.
I'm pretty sure of the fact if one of them defied Master Sim, he will accept and surely defeat them easily like it happens many times in the past, when he didn't need to fight because were his own students defeated this people.
You say that kung fu is useless I want to tell that you are mistaken. All the martial arts are coming from China some people just take one part of them and make a "new" style of course more basic and focus in particulars aspects only. If you know that the words "Kung Fu" are use in China to talk about martial arts (in general), not only the poor and basics branches of these art that are practicing in your country which make you have your square vision.
It gives me pain to think about people uncultured who speaks and it ridicules what they don't know. I whish you can study a bit and get a good master who show you a good martial way, perhaps it doesn't interest to you and you only please to see videos and laugh of everything which you don't know.
Well SAID AlvaroNam2, can't help it, in this Martial Arts World there sure lived some uncultured people, cos they themselves cannot or able to master or reach to that standard or skill, will surely have criticism. Like some wild dogs running on the loose, offer them a tiny piece of rotten meat, they will shook their tail and on the contary if they benifit nothing from you their main task will be barking, barking and barking
ufc guys arent that great its full of skilless brawling theres no good techniques no body even blocks each others strikes its just sum guy who takes a hit n then throws a hit n plus they r fukin slow
u still have alot to learn newb wait u prolly just sum dumbass who never even practiced martial arts martial art is about developing skills ufc has no skills they dun even block attacks same old punches same old shit that kind of shit dun work against a skilled a fighter do urself a favor n jump off a building so u dun rot
wat do u do sum1 throw a hit at u u do nothing n get koed rite away u sir r a dumbass learn to fight then talk to me u prolly get ur ass kicked all over the country
Master Sim Pooh Ho had already fought in the street. I 'm speaking about real fights, not the ones in cages or rings. He has a scar on its eyebrow, made by a sword. He fought against 10 men armed with swords and others kong fu weapons, in the same day shortly before, he had defeated other two men (of the same gang). In that time fire weapons was totally prohibited in his country. They were hidden and waiting in his way. He defeated them all using only by a "kun" (stick).
He had become expert in shaolin, ba gua, wu jao and xing yi, before he founded his academy. He doesn't need to demonstrate anything to you. He had made this demonstration to many skeptics journalists, finally they discovered the internal power of master Sim Pooh Ho was real. They had been pushed by him and they have taped for many TV shows worldwide.
Nowadays Master Sim is only interested in Tai Chi practice. If you don't understand that it's ok, but you don't need to say your misinformed opinion here. If you want to learn about Tai Chi you can kindly ask how energy works on nature or the why Tai Chi nowadays is knowing just like meditation or therapy but not like the real and more powerfull of the martial arts. "The soft defeat the hard". Good bye.
wow, is that real? never seen taichi like this, i mostly see health taichi thats lost its martial applications. can you give some more info about this master and the event? thats amazing
The Grandmaster is Sim Pooh Ho from Singapore. He now lives in Yunnan, China. The event is a demonstration by him and his Taiwanese students, in Taiwan. He has students in Singapore, CHile, Argentina, Taiwan, etc. His master was the late great Wu Tu Nan of Beijing.
The 'style' is merely called taijigong. Wu Tu Nan beleives that taiji named after particular persons/families merely represents the taiji achievement of that person/family. He was interested in the complete depth of taiji as a health, self-defence and spiritual system. Out of respect for him and his lineage, Grandmaster SIm Pooh Ho sometimes call it Wu Tu Nam Taijigong.
every year or so theres a tai ji competition in the chen family village in china (chen jia gou) you see this and more! if you wanna learn REAL tai ji, get to china, learn chinese and work your ar#e off.

wow a basic tai chi technique turned to an amazing counter.
this situation is highly unlikely but the idea that he understands when the opponent is applying force you let the opponet push him self back.
to have a reflex in knowing what to do with incoming energy is amazing...
