  • can this work for punching power also???

  • hay jeff im still in still in little leage and i have came close in practice and i am the best hitter on the team on good days and want to hit one out and next game is monday and i want to hit one out please help and please reply

  • Dear Jeff, i am trying to become an elite player and as of now I am just a line drive hitter. I really want to start hitting for more power and hit more homeruns. I saw your video on "hitting the hips in the weight room" will i get stronger by doing hip workouts everyday or do i need to rest in between days? How often can i do these workouts a week? someone please give me some feedback!

  • Hey Jeff, I am playing baseball in highschool and I am on an elite level team. I really want to increase power. Is this an excercise i can do everyday? or do i need to rest in between days?

  • this is bullshit, joint stability for any sport would be specific to the posture and motion used in the sport so this would have limited transferability. Also its impossible to do that drill without shifting weight to the support side.

  • @scarred10 No it works he was the trainer for the Mets and David Wright's personal trainer I think he knows a little more about hitting better than you do.

  • @jayrad2011 it doesnt work regardless of who he is and has nothing to do with hitting anything.Youll find many big name personal trainers are clueless in some aspects of the game.

  • @scarred10 if so that's very rare, they don't just hire any fuckin' baffoon to train you. Also if you were actually to know certain aspects of the game you'd realize that hitting a baseball is one big full-body motion, rotating the hips can also help you turn on that inside pitch.... douchebag.

  • @Mycookiesarenotgay its not at all rare, its very common since its often who you now ,not what you know in that business. Most sports are full body motions, theres no isolation in sport. What im saying if youd read correctly was that kneeling on all 4s trying to balance will not transfer to an explosive standing ballistic action like swinging a bat or throwing anything. It would only be a help for someone who was very weak to begin with or as a prehab/rehab exercise.

  • @scarred10 ok, i get you

  • hello canseco

  • Luv this drill

  • i get a popping or snapping hip every time i lift my right knee up high towards my chest.. what does this mean?? it does hurt a bit and limiits me form doing that movement because im scared

  • i have a lower back herniated disk and iam a highschool athlete baseball player will that drill help me and are there baseball athletes that still play with herniated disks?

  • @goldengl0v3 check out the wrestling bridge for that problem. Many people have had disks recover from it and it will keep it from happening again in the future. Just work into a wrestling bridge slowly and talk to ur physician first. Good luck!

  • this exercise is to easy.. i dont feel like its doing anything.

  • great drill!

  • 2:16 ha ha ha ....!

    just practice before teaching !!!

  • does this really work jeff?

  • i love doing this. thanks a lot jeff, it really works great
