1) World wide recession - triggered by sub-prime mortgages defaulting and decreasing confidence and liquidity and freezing of credit. Making big institutes to default and the domino effect into global western economy. Because of recession (-ve growth) in west, asia also suffered badly.
(Cont) Not just Pak but also China, India all lost reserves, less export and overall much lower GDP growth. It was just not Pak but also other countries like Ukraine, Hungary and Poland also went to IMF.
2) Bad economical management of current government - we all know what and why. 3 finance ministers so far to no avail.
3) Terrorism in Pak driving investors away and hampering economy.
Mush's economical achievements have even been recognized by current government in letter to IMF.

He did more for Pakistan then the present government has done in the last 2 years! Economy was improving, foreign investment was coming into Pakistan, basic utilities (roti, kapra, makaan) compared to present were cheaper......
The current government has increase load shedding times to 10+ hours a day, they keep borrowing from IMF and there is hardly any foreign investment in Pakistan. Suicide bombings have spread to the heart of Pakistan etc.....

yes GEO is a very loved channel, i admit. But they are not immune to mistakes, if they supported terrorists thinking they were helping Pak, they have learned their lesson like other media channels. Now they r pro-army, anti-terrorist channel with great hosts, specially newsreaders. By the way, have u noticed how some of its compares like Kamran Khan and Hasan Nisar sing a different tune about Musharraf and even MQM now?

like i said if we and media people spent more time studying and less time making sweeping statements things would be better. Pak had to goto IMF for 3 reasons mainly:
1) World wide recession - triggered by sub-prime mortgages defaulting and decreasing confidence and liquidity and freezing of credit. Making big institutes to default and the domino effect into global western economy. Because of recession (-ve growth) in west, asia also suffered badly.

(Cont) Not just Pak but also China, India all lost reserves, less export and overall much lower GDP growth. It was just not Pak but also other countries like Ukraine, Hungary and Poland also went to IMF.
2) Bad economical management of current government - we all know what and why. 3 finance ministers so far to no avail.
3) Terrorism in Pak driving investors away and hampering economy.
Mush's economical achievements have even been recognized by current government in letter to IMF.

escape? who said they escaped? Aziz WAS ALREADY living in USA pre-1999, so he RETURNED not escaped. Mush has always said he is only in europe temporary and pak will always be his home; he is there for lectures (and building +ve image of pak).If Mush was puppet of Kuffar then he would have given USA naval ports as they asked, sent our troops to Iraq as they asked, handed over AQ Khan, slowed down nuclear program, broken relationship with china etc. 2) WAKE UP! stop defending those terrorists.

Look how good our economy and growth was and look how it is now and how it was during Nawaz too.
