  • Doug Stone, used to blare his music flying up and down the back roads. :)

  • This guy was the country king for a short while. Garth Brooks was a joke. This guy HERE can really sing. Was blessed to see him live. He forgot the words to some of the songs but everyone had a good time.

  • love this song..

  • One of my all time favorite songs of any genre. Beautiful.

  • Have this happen all the time ):

  • I love this song...thanks for posting it.

  • I met him about a week ago when he did a cameo role in a pilot for a Western TV series. I haven't run across many folks as genuinely nice and friendly in a long, long time. And his voice is as good as ever.

  • I remember this song growing up. This song brings back good memories.

  • Brenda Rasnake, Lebanon Virginia, I still miss and love you so very much.

November 12, 1981, 10,559 days ago 3:17pm. something happened and I still don't know why, but my world came to an end. I will aways be here for you till the end. Jerry

  • This is that song that reminds you that there is someone special forever one

  • One of my favorite songs from Doug.

  • I love this song...Reminds me of my ex-wife so much! :( She now drives a malibu and everything lol Doug Stone is amazing...wish he would have kept coming up with more!

  • Funny how the top commenter mentioned Garth Brooks, because his last name is Brooks, but to avoid confusion with Garth and Brooks and Dunn, he changed his stage name to Stone. This great music should never be overshadowed, he ranks right up there with those 'bigger' names if you ask me.

  • Beautifully sung puts great emotion to his words

  • dougs music touches the soul and really stirs emotions in me at least.i bet i am not the only one either.I love your music doug. You have a sound that is all your own unique only to you, doug stone.

  • Sadly I think there are a lot of us who have lived this song.

  • @newarkcatholicfan That's the truth.I'm one.

  • doug stone has alot of thoughts in his music - right

  • even though garth brooks had some goods songs i liked there were alot of songwriters/singers that were pushed from the country music scine that made garth suck

  • if all men in this world would just be like the lyrics are in his songs ALL of us women wouldn't be bitches....just for once a "real MAN" to make a woman his everything THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING

  • @michiganmom1980 AMEN to that comment!!!!!!

  • @michiganmom1980

I see so many women staying with guys who beat them, cheat on them and treat them lke crap while good guys who open car doors, bring flowers and do the little things are all alone.

  • i miss the songs from steve.this is one of my favorites.god bless you steve

whereever you are.i havent seen you on the charts in a while.jsmith

  • I agree with you Kvizzle

  • Like all of Doug Stones music, you can dance to it....

  • I love doug stone.i've always loved his music he's got such a beautiful voice damn can that man sing. I will always be a Doug Stone fan

  • I still got your back Doug! You need a bodygaurd yive me a call 5593934305!!!

  • I have always loved this song. I love other Doug Stone love songs, too. His career died way too early. He's so talented!

  • Wow, I grew up listening to Doug Stone. I never knew his last name was Brooks..... He is such a great singer with or without a mic he still sounds the same. I can't say that for most singers today!!!

  • There is something in the water in Newnan, Georgia that makes good country singers-it is the hometown of both Doug Stone and Alan Jackson.

  • Don't forget Steve Young (country rock), Jessie James (country pop), and Hamilton Bohannon. All Newnan, Georgia. I want some of that water! (Although Jackson and Stone are the best of the group!)

  • Can't argue with that. I really miss that late 80's-90's country.

  • I also got to see Doug in a very small theater a few years ago. Man he puts on a very cool show and sounds just like his records. Can't wait to see him again

  • It's funny you say that about Doug Stone getting overshadowed by Garth Brooks. When Doug started putting out records, he changed his last name so he wouldn't be confused with another very popluar artist. His real name is Doug Brooks.

  • I have always loved the very underrated doug stone.Garth Brooks just eclipsed most of the other male singers from that time.Doug is just the pure old country sound that i love and miss.

  • Garth Brooks is a phoiny.Doug Stone is great

  • So good to get on here and just think back about the old times and listen to music from yesterday.
