Hey trent, can you tell me where to find this exact vision of this phone? i just love the phone that you have but no matter how many carriers i look at they just aren't the same. The phone itself is ok, but I absolutely hate windows mobile.

I just recently got the Droid X. It is my first android phone. This is when I realized how horrible windows mobile was. It is slow and choppy and the marketplace stinks.

AND, for some reason mine randomly malfunctioned saying that I had headphones plugged in even though it didnt. I couldn't fix it, so i got a cruddy refurbed one.

The phone itself, great. The OS it has, not so much.

I don't like the fact that this htc touch pro2 phone has no 3mm earphone jack... and the fact that there is a lack of applications in the market place, you would have to go on the web. I don't want to have to search for certain apps when they could be categorized nicely in a marketplace. So that's a hassle.

@DirtyAssassin1 Meanwhile, the motorola droid milestone has an incredible amount of FREE apps, but the short term memory on your phone is affected by the amount of apps you have. Also the keyboard on the milestone is definitely not the best. For me personally, i'm going to wait until a new version comes out for both of these phones. Then make my final decision.

Excellent unboxing video, Just from a feedback perspective, i found it slightly annoying whenever you said "it appears we have.... " If you listen to your review you'll know what i mean.. hey Trent, can you tell how you format and treat the battery (i.e. run low to 40% or lower to 0% before recharging?)

there is a lot about it in the Internet, but opposite advices and you use a lot of good phones, so maybe you have your own opinion, thx for the answer and stay safe :)

I have never followed any routine of formatting a battery. I simply use the device out of the box and recharge as I see fit. No matter where the battery level is, I always charge the device overnight with the ac adapter.

I would hold off judgement on the OS as WM6.5 is released in a month or less and WM7 is right... I mean RTM Oct/Nov... that is going to change up things a lot.

I am running WM 6.5 on my Touch Pro - very nice improvement.

Did not even know the existance of a smartphone with greater than 3.5 inch screen other than the touch HD at 3.8 inches. The combo of big screen and good tactile keyboard must be a good combo for you Trent! Personally I've already found my favorite phone in the iPhone and totally happy with it :)

P.S. I bought almost the same digital camcorder as you! I ordered the one with built in memory as I feel I got a decent deal on it. Excited to get it and try it out!

There is also the Acer M900 sliding qwerty with a fingerprint reader, but the keypad isn't laid out well and build quality lacks potential.

I wish you the best in getting your new camcorder! I am definitely happy with my Canon and getting much use out of it. You are fortunate to have built-in storage avialable on your model. Using a maximum capacity 8GB SDcard has its cons, but I shall upgrade soon to a 16GB card.

I really hope you do enjoy Windows Mobile. They just need to improve it (with Windows Mobile 7) and have the same design of a Touch Pro2 and you probably might have the best phone in the world. Unfortunately not everybody likes Windows Mobile 6.1 and the lack of 3.5 mm headphone jack. I prefer WinMo over Symbian but the 3.5 mm headphone jack is missing from the unlocked version and it makes me sad.
