Trimarans and catamarans have pros and cons depending on size and use. Beach cats are better than beach tris. Large cruising cats have more space and better sea behavior than similar tris. Large ocean racing tris have the advantage of a centre hull that can be a stable platform for the huge rig loads. Cats have only their crossbeams etc for that. Tris are normally wider, which gives them more righting moment, which equals more power and speed.

Im sitting on the boat in this movie! A can for sure say that this was 32 knots! We have sailed 39.8 knots with this boat!

That's NOT 32 knots. Of course it's freakin' fast compared to normal boats, maybe around 20, but 32 knots is so fast you wont believe it!

Its a 60ft formula 60 trimaran. We were using a staysail and had 2 reefs (of 3 possible) in the mainsail. Both are NorthSails 3Dl Marathon.
