I've done 100k miles in my Prius. It drives perfectly. No need for a battery replacement. That's just a rumour that they all need replacing. Check out the numerous stories of drivers who've done 150k-200k-250k+ in their cars. All original engine and transmission. Try doing that in a "normal" car.

The prius is the ugliest car ever made. It is very slow. Just a little fact: In the long run, a Hummer H2 would be cheaper to maintain than the prius (all that hybrid crap is expensive).

All that "hybrid crap" actually results in very low maintenance needs, like 5000 mile service intervals (vs. 3000 for 'normal' vehicles), and less wear and tear on the transmission, drivetrain and ICE. That's in addition to a substantially lower initial purchase price, cheaper insurance, massively better gas economy, higher percentage resale value, and drastically smaller carbon footprint. Hummers aren't cheaper, long term or otherwise.

Wrong on every count. Prius has best-in-class occupant protection and far lower rollover risk than any SUV. Prius will do 110mph+, gets there faster than most 4-door sedans, and still gets 34mpg doing it. There are plenty of Prius out there with 200,000+ miles on them, still going strong. The batteries wont be landfilled, they'll be recycled, like laptop batteries. Can you say the same for the lead-acid batteries in your car? Why criticize, when you clearly know nothing about the subject?

Refining oil and burning Gasoline creates acid rain too, but I don't here you making excuses not to use petroleum. As for shipping it all over the world, every car has parts shipped all over the world. Steal and aluminum, for example, are mined, shipped, refined, shipped, put in a car and then shipped again. Also they are not going to use zinc anymore, but rather lithium which is the cleanest of the battery technology. Running naked would be the cleanest way to get around.

I've done 100k miles in my Prius. It drives perfectly. No need for a battery replacement. That's just a rumour that they all need replacing. Check out the numerous stories of drivers who've done 150k-200k-250k+ in their cars. All original engine and transmission. Try doing that in a "normal" car.

What car isn't bad for the environment? Are you talking about the Prius' battery? The battery is nickel metal hydride, not zinc, and Toyota has a recycling program for it. Don't forget, every other car has a battery as well, and normal batteries contain lead, which is far more destructive to the environment. I live in Canada, and if the Prius battery was a major environmental hazard, it would be on the front page news. Why do you think the Prius requires parts to be shipped and not other cars?

The car dont even need a key. Pruis have bluetoh connection (sry my spelling) annyway you can be 1-5 meters from your car with the Key and start it and when you come like 2 meters from the door it unloock the car, and if you go away it loocks your car, and it got Ipod Connection so you can watch movies/listen to music in your speaker with your Ipod...it got installed GPS..but can only drive like 190 KM/h because of the safty

Nickel is used in stainless steel, window tinting, magnets, and coinage among other things. Copper is used in plumbing and practically every electrical device in the world. Also the batteries used in Hybrids are recycled.

All that "hybrid crap" actually results in very low maintenance needs, like 5000 mile service intervals (vs. 3000 for 'normal' vehicles), and less wear and tear on the transmission, drivetrain and ICE. That's in addition to a substantially lower initial purchase price, cheaper insurance, massively better gas economy, higher percentage resale value, and drastically smaller carbon footprint. Hummers aren't cheaper, long term or otherwise.

Wrong on every count. Prius has best-in-class occupant protection and far lower rollover risk than any SUV. Prius will do 110mph+, gets there faster than most 4-door sedans, and still gets 34mpg doing it. There are plenty of Prius out there with 200,000+ miles on them, still going strong. The batteries wont be landfilled, they'll be recycled, like laptop batteries. Can you say the same for the lead-acid batteries in your car? Why criticize, when you clearly know nothing about the subject?

Refining oil and burning Gasoline creates acid rain too, but I don't here you making excuses not to use petroleum. As for shipping it all over the world, every car has parts shipped all over the world. Steal and aluminum, for example, are mined, shipped, refined, shipped, put in a car and then shipped again. Also they are not going to use zinc anymore, but rather lithium which is the cleanest of the battery technology. Running naked would be the cleanest way to get around.

Oh, well, i do. And the hummer contains about 3times the stainless steel (NiCrMo), which contains Nickel.
The battery of the hummer is 40kg, the battery of the prius is only 45kg.
The hummer uses 5times more fuel.
And there's a lot more steel and other fabrics to be recycled.
Well, there's absolutely NO way in which the hummer is more green.

I have an 07 Touring Prius and you can set the airconditioner by voice command and start the car without the key in the slot.....
More people should act the way this guy does.

If you have the smart key option you don't need to put the key fob in the slot but if like me you have a base model you do need to put the key fob in the slot.
