  • @stuntriple 2:05 the knife will eventually become the size of an arrowhead, or perhaps you can make a smaller version of the knife

  • can you make some out of flint? that looks more like obsidian

  • where did you get the tool you use in the begining?

  • My comment was directed to MonoxideXT

  • "and it looks cool" LOL =D

  • were do you find the flint

  • My english isn´t that good, ao my apologies if I took something wrong.

It appears to me as if you are purposingly dulling the edge. At the end of your vid you even rub your thumb over the edge.

So what is the use to dull a knife that´s been sharp in the first place?

  • @Kleinalrik the stone age knife didn't cut because of the sharp edge, it cut with the serration. It made the blade "spiky" and it was more suitable to cut various objects.

  • @r1pexz

Aaah, I see! Thank you for the explanation.

  • k so i tryed making one before watching this video and knew nothin about this i was ussing a hammer and vice to hold the flint then was chiping pieces off and i was holding the flint up to a bench grinder to see if that worked half the time i was wearing a facesheild but i dont think that could block the dust should i be worried if so explain msg me

  • thank you for the very helpful suggestions. i live in Maryland where we have plenty of it, some of it containing gold!

  • does anybody know where to get the stones to make the arrow heads? also whats the differance between heads and points?

  • I use flint becouse its easy to find, try looking under turned over trees or near running water or a farm, well anything that is washed with water

  • To find flint you need to make sure that you are in an area underlain by chalk. Flint occurs as secondary silicate nodules within chalk. In an area underlain by chalk the flint nodules may be found in ploughed soil or in rock exposed beneath upturned tree roots and may also be concentrated by surface transport in rivers and streams.

  • can i do the pressure flaking with a screwdriver

  • You really need copper or antler. Screwdriver is too hard, and would not grip the stone properly. Give it a try though, best way to learn

  • @mosquitoavenger thats not a screw driver that is flatened peice of copper...

  • i dont see why not

  • Is that made out of obsidian rock?

  • yea I think so...

  • I wonder if he can make an Aztec sword

  • @crypter27 Not that hard. To make a Macuahuitl, all you really need is a large amount of flat obsidian flakes and the wood. Make your notches and glue the flakes (plus some work for a handle), and you're finished.

  • you can kill some animial with for sure

  • Nice work. My two young boys like your videos.

  • thanks for posting, you have great skill
