  • What's really interesting is that the full interview of Ted Haggard cannot be found. -- the official Dawkins YT channel shows full 60-minute interviews from other of Dawkins' documentaries but not that one, not sure why, could be happenstance, -- a number of other interviews are also not shown in full. Would be most interesting to see the full interview. Might have to ask the youtube Dawkins channel for it.

  • You did not deserve those 4,876 views.

  • *know

  • Jesusinpuff has a dick up their ass!

  • @chhlooeee

his ass (not their, i.e. singular rather than plural).

btw, i don't mind someone licking my ass as long as it's your sweet mommy's tongue.

  • hadn't you put "Richard Dawkins" in your video title .... the only viewer you'd have would be just You.

you want more hits ?! ... Earn it!

  • oh yeah .. Ted Haggard has changed a lot, you know why?

When people fuck male whores for three years .... they usually Change ...

  • Curiousity kill the fats?

  • Haggard has not changed; I saw him speak after his gayness was made public. He's still a lying sack of shit, just a bit less arrogant.

  • I don't know what you are talking about, but I love you.

  • you are so beautifull

  • btw, Richard Dawkins and others aren't so much proving atheism as they are just going about bashing religion. They never really argue for why God can't exist, they just say he can't then go on and on about what they don't like in religion. I am sure Dawkins by now realizes his position is stupid

  • "yay for atheists"? has to be the dumbest thing to say. Pretty girl, but I don't think she fully understands what her beliefs mean and how foolish they are in light of the evidence.

  • @semitope -- who the fuck are you saying i don't understand what my "beliefs" are. i don't have beliefs, i don't believe in god or religion. and what evidence are you talking about? the bible? this ancient book that was written by a bunch of random men centuries after Jesus lived, claiming they know the way and the truth? You clearly need to get your "evidence" straight because there isn't any evidence when it come to the existence of "god"

  • @chhlooeee You don't say "Yay" to an ultimately meaningless life and yes you have beliefs. The BS dawkins and Hitchens say about atheism being the lack of a belief is simply to avoid defending it and to make people less informed feel they are justified in the position.

The bible is not the evidence i speak of. See what you did? You went straight to christianity just like they do. God is not tied to a religion. Whether or not you think there is a God should be an independent decision.

  • @semitope -- of course i referred to the bible because in the video i am talking about Ted Haggard who believes in the Bible. If i had made this video about Muslims I would have referred to the Koran. If you could provide the evidence you speak of about the existence of gods then i'd gladly have a discussion about that with you, but i'd be blown away and impressed if you could. with regards to believing there is a god as an independent decision is fine, but my problem is when people take that...

  • @chhlooeee Hm, well I was walking about theism and atheism. Religion should never be the first stop in that debate, but the atheists like Dawkins and Hitchens who do these debates can never separate the 2. If they did, they would immediately lose. I can't help noticing that atheists often don't realize that. It's pretty much a-religion

  • @semitope -- atheism is the LACK of a belief. calling atheism a religion is like saying NOT collecting stamps is a hobby. that makes zero sense whatsoever. just think about it.

  • decision and inflict it or force it on others.

  • @chhlooeee I'd advise you read up the evidence for God and listen to debates that don't get sidetracked talking about religion. Dawkins debate with Lennox was a decent one and there are others. The evidence I spoke about was creation itself. Evolution, abiogensis etc can't even begin to explain the mystery of our existence. IMO we simply cannot be here without some reason making it so. I have yet to see any of these guys defend their position well even though atheists think they do.

  • @chhlooeee I'd advise you to read up on the evidence for God and watch some debates. Also investigate evolution carefully because I suspect its one of the lies you believe and a pillar of your position. Better to avoid debates where the atheist gets sidetracked talking about religion. The evidence I was talking about was science.

  • @chhlooeee It is a silly excuse to claim you are atheist because others haven't given you enough evidence.

  • @chhlooeee lol. another point, the NT was written decades after Jesus and there were several non-biblical accounts of him as well. The OT is old as can be

  • @semitope -- which god do you believe in? zeus, thor, jesus, muhammad, david haslehoff? think hard about which god or gods you actually believe in, and why you don't believe in the others. i'd venture to say you're actually an atheiest about 99% of the gods that have ever existed, but likely believe in just one as the 'real' god. ask yourself why you dismiss all the others and accept yours as 'truth' and you'll see why a belief in any gods is ridiculous at the end of the day.

  • please provide the actual science you're referencing as evidence, and we could debate that, but i don't think you have any real evidence you could use to PROVE the existence of god, much like you could prove the existence of faires or bigfoot, or lepricauns. they simply don't exist

  • @chhlooeee last point. You're sooo pretty

  • @chhlooeee I'm not going to really debate it with you. From my experience, nobody changes on this topic. I just don't have the ability I guess, but the info is everywhere. Which God I believe in, again, is irrelevant right now. The first step is figuring out if there is or isn't a God.

  • @chhlooeee You can watch the trilogy "darwins dilemma" "privileged planet" "Unlocking the Mystery of Life" I think is the last one. You are using the weak definition of atheism. A proper atheist believes that there are no deities. Many use the weak definition of atheism, but make claims and act like those who hold to the strong definition of atheism. Don't really know how to argue that when the other person's position is not pinned down.

  • @semitope

    You make a good point.

You see, if you reject the existence of something, then you by default must embrace its non-existence.

Atheism, in its purest form, is only defined as the *rejection* of belief. That's why most of us insist that our atheism is not a belief (why ascribe a meaning that isn't there?). So, when speaking in the context of being an atheist, we will make clear that our only base view is that we "reject" theistic belief.

Do we *technically* have a belief? Sure.

  • @Kinin4 Technically, the word "Atheism" shouldn't exist and isn't even necessary.

What's the word for people who don't believe in dragons?

What's the term for people who don't believe in the Illuminati?

What's the name for people who don't believe the world is flat?

There are none, because there's no proof of the existence of such things (real proof, that is - don't get me started). We don't NEED names for it. The word "Atheism" assumes that the default state of man is Theism. It is not.

  • @jjobie

I agree it shouldn't exist, but I disagree that it assumes the default state is Theism. Neither is the default state. Atheism is certainly *reactionary* to Theism, but Theism need not be the default stance. You can go further back and say that the default state is being unaware of the concept of god. To be an atheist or a theist, one must be confronted with said concept. From there, one becomes either a Theist or Atheist.

  • @Kinin4 A default state is neither Atheism or Theism, since these ideas supposes that a human is first introduced to these concepts in the first place. So really, the default state is a single fundamental question, Who am "I" ? from which many other questions arise.

  • @RobbeyT

My point exactly. However, it is important to note that atheism is not the antithesis of theism; atheism is simply the "lack" of theism. It's still not the default state, but has a more broad range.

  • @semitope

Also, Dawkins actually makes it quite clear that he separates theism and Religion. All of his arguments against god (or, should I say, his refutation of the arguments FOR god) apply to any deity.

He then goes on to discredit religion and its practices itself, which is the biggest issue...even bigger than believing that god exists when there's no reason to.

  • @Kinin4 cant remember him doing that at all. He never addresses theistic reasons for believing there is a God. There is pretty damn good reason to believe God exists. watch?v=FyxUwaq00Rc

  • @semitope

Have you read "The God Delusion"? It's basically a compilation of his entire life's work against religion/theism.

If you *have* read it, then you know that he explicitly states that he does not refer to any particular religion/deity.

If you *haven't* read it, then you obviously can't be expected to be an expert on his views.

Your video sucks. It starts by introducing a Straw Man (which atheism is not inherently a part of anymore that apologetics is). YOU give me proof.

  • Great upload, my child! Btw, do you believe in GOD, my child? lol ;-)

  • Why the hell would anyone talk to Haggard? Except pushers and hookers of course.

  • people, I made this video after watching a special on TLC about Ted Haggard. You are all leaving me comments as if I am dumb as fuck and the whole idea of Dawkin's interviewing him again would be stupid. I think it would be fascinating because Ted claims to be a completely different person. I am not saying he is being truthful, but I think Dawkins could make an interesting interview asking him about his old ways & life and how that has changed. Think what you want, I think it's brilliant!

  • Ted Haggard is probably still a fundamentalist creationist bat shit crasy christian. I dont think its healthy for Dawkins to talk to all these people so often.

At least from my own perspective I can tell its not healthy to get PISSED that often, LOL

  • There a show called Ted Haggard: Scandalous on TLC. It comes on again soon, look it up on there website

  • i'll second that, yay for atheists lol :)

  • At least she's hot.

  • @genia10 "thanks for wasting a whole moment of my life!"

On one hand, I can understand your comment; if you are an atheist, you believe that this is the only life we have. Every moment of it is valuable, given its brevity and finite nature. On the other hand, one of the most beautiful things in life is human expression, and cognitive emancipation/liberation of one's self. Watching another person undergo an epiphany, and to share their elation should be celebratory. I'm sorry for you, if not.

  • @tehnubzor

I am not atheist but that doesn't mean I like to waste my time

  • all I know is Dawkins should debate William Lane Craig..if he ever loses his fear that is..!

  • Yay for Atheists, there's a cheer for some high school somewhere...cute video.

  • If Haggard had become an atheist, I would say you had a point.

  • Haggard told Dawkins that he was ignorant and then kicked him off the property yelling threats to seize his film. I'm sure Dawkins isn't in a hurry to re-interview him. If you want to see something like that I suggest you check out the interview he did with Wendy Wright. Now THAT is some crazy shit.

  • Yeah, Ted was caught being gay (Contradict with his religion). There's no point anymore to talk to him.

  • Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Daniel Dennett and Sam Harris, known as the Four Horsemen of Atheism, are by a wide margin the greatest debaters of the last few decades.

This is partly because they picked the side with all the evidence (duh?), which is an advantage, to say the least, when you have a rational audience i.e. Europe, or US intellectual seminars.

  • chloe, you are cute.

  • i like you :)

  • @gloryboxlock ..no way dude..m not..m agnostic...u knw that 98% types...just like dawkins is...and i dbt ur comprehension abilities as what made u pass a judgment on me....without having any info on dat...moreover chloee wasn't really clear in her views...anyways..dats not d point..

  • I want an atheist girlfriend like you. Smart and sexy.

  • Well, see, Ted Haggard has lost all credibility, as he's been found having hired a male escort service. >.>

  • Richard and other great Atheist intellectuals such as Sam Harris and Christopher Hitchens annihilate their theist counterparts so well its pure entertainment.

  • NIce video. Go Dawkins. Your cute!!!

  • @chlooooeee,Hiya,im John frm Scotland.Im an atheist buddhist and tripped over ur vid while lookin at atheist vids.Yeah he's f'cked up and wrong but as an atheist u'll bump into lots of theists that are exactly the same so cam down girl getused to it.P.s u look lovely, but exitable Lol...John..x

  • Yeah for atheists LOL

Last I saw Ted Haggard he looked like a broken man, both financially and figuratively. I will have to find the new show you speak of and view it. I think he's a deeply conflicted person.

  • @Eric21ND -- yes, i agree. he is very messed up and his life has done a total 180. if you can find the episode from tlc i would be very surprised. i have looked for it on the internet everywhere and i can't find it!!

  • @chhlooeee It's obvious the guy had some kind of mental illness believing in creationism and all that nonsense. On the Oprah show after the incident he said that he was not really gay, just a straight man with homosexual tendencies, whatever that means. He's just trying to pretend he lost touch with God for a second, in other words became a sinner, and that now he must work to redeem himself in the eyes of God. That's probably what he would say to Dawkins if he were to be interviewed again.

  • @Eric21ND It took her 1:38 minutes and seconds to say what could have been said in 15 seconds.

  • Regardless of the trials of Ted Haggard, if he remains a creationist then he and Dawkins have nothing more to talk about.

The only reasons Dawkins interviewed him the first time was because of Haggard being in charge of several million Christians, having a weekly chat with the President of the day and spouting crap against scientific fact which directly infringed on Dawkins' turf.

  • People do not change. The only thing that changed is Haggard's business model.

  • @LtKoerschgen

    Wrong.

    You are right about Haggard.

But YouTube itself has multiple stories of people who changed completely - especially religious deconversion stories, where there is no business plan involved.

People do change - often slowly - but it happens.

  • hey chloee...are u pro richard dawkins or against his agnostic/atheist views...didn quite get which side are u...just plain curious..nothing personal dear..

  • @aksiitd I'm an atheist. grew up catholic, but part way thru highschool i realized religion just wasn't doing it for me anymore.

  • @chhlooeee were you being a servant for god and telling others about him and how to be saved

  • @wfl19 -- im a servant for nobody, biatch!

  • @chhlooeee no wonder why your an atheist you believe your better than god

  • What changed about Ted? Can you cite one example of how Ted has changed? It may help gain some interest into re-interviewing Ted.

  • @jfabiani Ted had a single show on TLC and he has made a new church on his own property. he is saying anyone can come - gays, addicts, anyone - he said it is a church for sinners and everyone is welcome. he said that what he went thru changed him completely and he thinks the way organized religion is is not good. he says that god and religion should be about love and that what he was doing before the scandal was not love.

  • @chhlooeee Nice to meet you Chloe
