I personally think, although I'm not too interested in drama, he should've included these scenes: Riggs is shown crying for his wife and he tries to commit suicide but doesn't, as shown in the first Lethal Weapon, Goose hitting the canopy in Top Gun (even though that was my least fav scene in the movie) and Jack and Cathy Ryan mourning Sally's severed injuries from Patriot Games.
