  • It looked to me like a video of what you DO NOT want your machine produce..

It was spitting out the same shit that was being poured in!!

  • Dan Apted's parts for his milling machines are 'made in China'.

  • @brittond14 LOL, I suspect you are trying to tattle on me. I

  • @danapted Not at all. You stated that on your web site yourself. I must say that I do have much respect for what you have accomplished. So far I am just a dreamer. I have done many searches for homemade pellet stoves and homemade pellet mills. Much respect to you sir. I spoke out of turn and in ignorance. I apologize with sincerity. Britton@live.com

  • @brittond14 You can see many more of my chinese made mills at my website.

  • @brittond14 hard to say it because they block website addresses. check out alaskapelletmill for a lot of other mill selections.

  • What are wood pellets used for?

  • Holy smokes! All you have to do is pour wood pellets into this big machine and out pop buckets and buckets of gorgeous wood pellets? This is fantastico!

  • @notArtVideo If you don`t understand things, try to get info , instead of trying to be funny !

  • you should only by things made in the states. Don't send our money to any other country. Or do like hard times?

  • @BR00074L ..ha ha .. :)

  • I have a small mill from Dan Apted and it works great!!! You have to understand the principles behind pelletizing before you can use any pellt mill...

  • honestly, buskir pellet mill well looking strong and reliable compare with MIC A.K.A made in china but due to costing china wins.

1 USA pellet mill = 3 China pellet mill

If you lack of budget, get a china machine.

If you want headache free, get an american stuffs.

No offense, all pellet mill are great ! good invention !

  • do you have any sugestions of where i could by an american made machine

  • pellets come out of a hot mill and into a cooler that has major air flow cooling the pellets quickly then dumped into a bucket elevator that dumps on a high speed shaker screen angled for gravity and that seperates what is called FINES the pellets go to a bin for bagging and the fines or broken small pellets are sent back to the infeed system of raw fiber to be re pelletized INDUSTRY STANDARD OF FINES IS NO MORE THAN 1% we average 0.25% very good top bagged pellet producer in B.C for QUALITY

  • I am a pro pellette mill operator in british columbia canada sure they turn out a pellet but they will be crapy because there is no cooling system watch video again notice that they have raw fiber coming out for the first few moments that's because the baby mill is not hot wood will not pelletize until atleast 180 degrees ferenhite and that makes crap ideal temp is around 230 deg if not cooled fast they sweat and turn white and don't burn and the burn they show is pointless that's no pellet

  • Thanks for the info armstrong. Aren't these pellets coming out way too fast anyway?

  • man, why are you guys giving this dude a hard time? It is simple, you put in finly ground biomass, ie: sawdust, it compresses the material, which gets hot and fuses together. This forms pellets. The only down side is, as you can see in the video, you get a shit-ton of dust, so when you're done you have to run the pellets over a screen and re-run the dust.

    Quite simple.

  • @FreeMilitia

If you add alittle moisture to the mix going in it helps to both keep down the amount of dust and it makes a more uniform, larger size pellet i.e. less waste / rerun.

As armstronggetto also said above, the mill has not had time to reach optimal temp yet so there will be more dust / crumbles.

I don't know this by making wood pellets, but I have made THOUSANDS of TONS of poultry feed at the mill where I worked while I was going to college.

  • Why are you showing a video made by a pellet mill manufacturer in China? This video was not made by you. Have you ever made pellets at all?

  • Hello Harley, you are partly correct, this video was shot by my employer in Qingdao China. But since I sell (and use) their product posting their videos is easier than emailing them. Why do you care? Dan

  • Makeyourownpellets,

Why are you down on the Chinese machine when the ones you show in your videos clearly have Chinese logos on them? Aren't your machines made in China also????

  • Who said I was down on the Chinese machines? What are you taking about? I had an issue with someone not making his own video using them. Then trying to sell them as though the videos were made by him. My issue is merely learn what you what to sell first.

  • I was actually looking at your diesel version but I don't get good 'vibrations' when I read things like "This video was not made by this guy. This video was made by a Chinese manufacturer. He doesn't know how to make pellets. " and "is is a video made by a company in China. Your being fooled. "

That, sir, is not a very professional response to a competitor' I can only imagaine how you treat customers with problems.

  • what set up are you useing ? the pellet co. are driving up the prices just to put more money in there pockets you need to share this plan

  • This video was not made by this guy. This video was made by a Chinese manufacturer. He doesn't know how to make pellets.

  • This isn't really a plan, it is just a video of some of the products I sell. I would be happy to sell one to you. LOL.

    Dan

  • where are you located

  • I am in Anchorage, Alaska. But this video was, like the product, made in China.

  • is the dust content over %20 guys?

  • I would gues the dust and small chunks are 10 to 15% but when I screen the pellets my dust goes down to 1 or 2 percent at max. I think, it is hard to be accurate but there is very little anyway.

    Dan

  • great video this guy makes great looking pellets hope he makes more videos great job

  • This is a video made by a company in China. Your being fooled.

  • I sell the products made by the company in China. It is simply easier to send a link to the videos than to email them. Why do you think anybody is being fooled?

    Dan

  • @MakeYourOwnPellets Mind your own Business ! :)
