that not quite currect, you wont need a good data plan for using this phone...
because the widgets screen dont load new data that is more than maximum 3kb, so that means that even with a 30MB data plan you should be fine.
and if you dont want a data plan, you can always remove all the internet syncing widgets. (this is so you wont need to connect to the internet when you start your phone, and will save tons of cash)
P.S. from what i seen i might buy the black 32GB version but im not quite sure.
This phone is SLOW compare to iphone processor. It has 125MB or RAM and Iphone has 256MB. Iphone seems to load up instantly. And i like that the iphone display the entire website where as this one display zoom in and kind of annoying. And why no address bar on top?? As an option? I want to be normal like a computer.
Well, you could use WiFi, you'll have to either disable the widgets, or set it to offline mode for the widgets. It's possible to use it, it's just that the features won't be fully taken advantage of.
Smartphones nowadays have lots of web features because of data plans getting cheaper (it's not cheap yet, but it's a lot cheaper than it was)
Wifi has limited coverage area. But when you are using 3G, you virtually get coverage everywhere.
Most of the widgets on the phone requires internet connection. Which is why WIFI alone is not enough to make full use of all the widgets capabilities. You should get 3G data with this phone so that you can use the widget even when there is no WIFI hotspot nearby
You're right, DK was wrong about the fact that it has no flash support.
Interesting fact:
Youtube on mobile phones usually don't use flash. They stream using mp4. All youtube videos are automatically converted to mp4 when you upload them, for iPhones and Apple TVs as well as other mobile phones.
On that note, the browser on S60 v5 actually supports flash! You can actually interact with the flash player just like it would on your computer! That's the first mobile browser that can do that. - Dan
I must say though that based on what we've tried so far, flash loads pretty slowly on a S60v6 browser. We'll continue testing, but on the Samsung i8910 HD, it loaded pretty slowly. I'll try it again on the N97 once I meet up with DK for our next shoot - Daniel
Hi there, I'm sorry, but we're in Singapore so we really don't know how to answer that. However, I'm sure you can type the ñ using Series60, probably through the symbols menu.

You mentioned wi-fi is not good enough for this phone? why do you say this? The phone works best on a 3G connection?

is there a back light on the qwerty keypad as shown in this video??
thanju36 2 years ago
Yea, there is. If it's like previous nokia phones, the keypad's backlight will turn on and off based on lighting conditions.

It depends how Nokia have done it on it's previous Spanish qwerty phones.
Nokia got different qwerty layouts for different markets like North European and Russia for example.
