  • that not quite currect, you wont need a good data plan for using this phone...

because the widgets screen dont load new data that is more than maximum 3kb, so that means that even with a 30MB data plan you should be fine.

and if you dont want a data plan, you can always remove all the internet syncing widgets. (this is so you wont need to connect to the internet when you start your phone, and will save tons of cash)

P.S. from what i seen i might buy the black 32GB version but im not quite sure.

  • HAIRY fingers!!!!!

  • why do you care about the fingers??

    just look at the phone!!!

  • i think he´s a monkey o.O ^^

  • runngin all these widgets that are automaticly synchronizing with the web drains the power so damn fast...

  • YO DK What cairrer will it be for in the United States?

  • We only know availability info with regards to Singapore, so we don't have the answer to that question, sorry about that!

  • Thanks Anyway

  • This phone is SLOW compare to iphone processor. It has 125MB or RAM and Iphone has 256MB. Iphone seems to load up instantly. And i like that the iphone display the entire website where as this one display zoom in and kind of annoying. And why no address bar on top?? As an option? I want to be normal like a computer.

  • " if you don't have a data plan it doesn't make any sense to have this phone" , really killed it for me,Wifi is my only option

  • Well, you could use WiFi, you'll have to either disable the widgets, or set it to offline mode for the widgets. It's possible to use it, it's just that the features won't be fully taken advantage of.

Smartphones nowadays have lots of web features because of data plans getting cheaper (it's not cheap yet, but it's a lot cheaper than it was)

  • how much is it :D?? cant wait till june 16th :D its comming out in HK (:

  • Can't wait to get mine! :D

  • release is june 2, 2009 on nokia's website, and it is 699.99 but if you go to other web retailers you will find it cheaper.

  • You mentioned wi-fi is not good enough for this phone? why do you say this? The phone works best on a 3G connection?

  • Wifi has limited coverage area. But when you are using 3G, you virtually get coverage everywhere.

Most of the widgets on the phone requires internet connection. Which is why WIFI alone is not enough to make full use of all the widgets capabilities. You should get 3G data with this phone so that you can use the widget even when there is no WIFI hotspot nearby

  • 3g is slower but can be used nearly everywhere but Wifi will be alot faster but at a limited range

  • Wax your fingers! lols

  • Where can i get a prototype?

  • is there a back light on the qwerty keypad as shown in this video??

  • Yea, there is. If it's like previous nokia phones, the keypad's backlight will turn on and off based on lighting conditions.

  • wat a wonderful phone.... i just loved it... especially black.... any idea how much it would cost and when its releasing?

  • Not sure about cost, but it should be releasing in mid-june. No confirmation on the date neither though.

  • The guy in the vid says that ist has no Flashsupport, but it has, hasn't it?

  • I'm sure you can. Else, how can you watch youtube videos?

  • Definitely does!

  • You're right, DK was wrong about the fact that it has no flash support.

    Interesting fact:

Youtube on mobile phones usually don't use flash. They stream using mp4. All youtube videos are automatically converted to mp4 when you upload them, for iPhones and Apple TVs as well as other mobile phones.

On that note, the browser on S60 v5 actually supports flash! You can actually interact with the flash player just like it would on your computer! That's the first mobile browser that can do that. - Dan

  • Yeah, I know.

That will be the main fact why i am getting this Phone

like this i can watch about every vid in the web.

  • I must say though that based on what we've tried so far, flash loads pretty slowly on a S60v6 browser. We'll continue testing, but on the Samsung i8910 HD, it loaded pretty slowly. I'll try it again on the N97 once I meet up with DK for our next shoot - Daniel

  • I know I was just being a dick ^_^

  • What language is he speaking? Lol

  • flash enabled

  • Yep, you're right, DK was wrong about the flash part. This is one of the few browsers that supports flash straight on the browser.

  • nokia not apple buddy lol

  • thank you ^^

  • thx guys ^^

  • i dont know what u r saying :(

  • hiyaa honk kong foooeeeee

  • lmfao at the accent

  • I like the light on the keyboard, but the black one looks waaaaay sexier

  • hairiest hands i have ever seen

  • agreed xD!

  • where's the underscore? this symbol: _

  • there is a symbol button on the keyboard i would assume its under that option

  • Can you make another video with more test in touchscreen response?

  • I have a question, I speak Spanish and I don't see the letter 'ñ' on the keypad. If I have to use it, how am I going to use it?

  • Hi there, I'm sorry, but we're in Singapore so we really don't know how to answer that. However, I'm sure you can type the ñ using Series60, probably through the symbols menu.

  • It depends how Nokia have done it on it's previous Spanish qwerty phones.

Nokia got different qwerty layouts for different markets like North European and Russia for example.

  • Spanish has its own keypad

  • there is an option where you can actually write your own letters with your finger or a pen

  • I know. I love the specifications :)

  • im buying this phone when it release in singapore=)

  • Good vid. nice phone but expensive.......

  • I REALLY LOVE this phone! I really really want one... *drool*
