  • Sacre Bleau, war iz meh powehr dreel >:(

  • Anarchy in action!

  • The word "plunk" is another word for "pick" as in "pickin' a banjo" That noise that Froggy would make with his tongue was called "the Bronx cheer," or the raspberry. Once thought to be vulgar, it was prohibited in the Movie Code. There was a Froggy the Gremlin rubber bath toy which came out in 1945, and was still around a few years later when the show went on TV. Incidentally, the original host was Smiling Ed McConnell and the show was Buster Brown's Gang. Andy Devine took over as Andy's Gang.

  • I plunked my magic twanger, but the cops hauled me in!

  • Trust me it is Plunk. I listened to this show a lot and have plunked everything I have tried to do in life. I plunked high school, marriage, yes even retirement. Plunk, Plunk Plunk.

  • I make sure to plunk my magic twanger regulary

  • I beleive the word is "pluck," not "plunk."

  • Trust me , It was "Froggy plunk your magic twanger". Some people thought it was "Froggy twang your magic twanger" Myself included. But after doing a lot of research and collecting, It was "punk".

This is the first time anyone thought it was pluck.

  • I watched this show when I was a kid. It's as bizarre now as it was then. Wow.

  • That Frog had a voice like a Super Villain!

  • Vito Scotti played"Monseaur Bon Bon"In this

scene with "Froggey The Gremlin"on "Andy's Gang!".

  • Vito Scotti was my great great uncle

  • My Aunt, worked with Vito Scotti in a musical play from 1945 or so, called Naugthy Marietta, she liked him very much.

  • Froggy! Plunk your magic twanger. A cloud of smoke and there he was. Hi ya kids, Hi ya Hi ya. He made monkeys out of teachers, poets, stuff shirts and any other figure of athority. And we loved him for it.

  • Many kids in my generation grew up to hate those in authority and we were always doing some pranks on the teachers. I want to publicly thank Froggy the Gremlin for all the valuable anarchic training he provided us boys and girls. PLUNK YOUR MAGIC TWANGER, FROGGY!

  • We did, We did.

  • Vito often appeared as different "guest lecturers" [a popular sketch] on "ANDY'S GANG", only to get confused and destroyed by Froggy's constant "suggestions"....

  • great clip love the froggy
