  • try and tighten your body when your fliping, so you feel more weightless. also when your in the handstand straighten your arms, and put them closer to your head so your landing more clean. Iwould recommend you to do this on a spring floor or a tramp, so you have more room, and bounce. you get the concept of the back handspring, you just need to work on technicallity. all and all, more practice and youll get it down. after that you can work on a standing back tuck :)

  • its a good backhand spring, but try to stretch it out, ive been in gymnastics for a long time and my teachers keep telling me to stretch it meaning try not to jump up, but jump back, by jumping back, you get more power out of it allowing you to add moves on the end like back full, back layout all those other things, but very good start :)

  • You are undercutting a lot- you need you practice on a bigger space like a trampoline or a few mattress in a line. You need to reach further back and increase your traveling distance.

  • @oml1blogger You're right, I can't. BUT I do take tumbling, and when we do them with spotters, they tell us that we undercut too much when we jump under ourselves like she does.

    And I'm not afraid to flip over, I just haven't learned to do a bhs yet!

First off, you're going to need way more space than there is on that matress to do that correctly, you're legs aren't straight, they should be, you're not arching back enough your feet are landing right behind where your hand are going down, stretch out your jump more, straighten your legs and don't go so crazy with your arms and you might possibly have a pretty good back handspring. :)

  • @1231geegee nothing to get scared off. if you fall it will only hurt. in about 8-20 secs. its very easy to do a backflip. i think its much! easyer to do a backflip than backhand spring.

    1: hurt yourself

    2: youre not going to be able to get better :)

  • that was really good, but if you keep undercutting you're so gonna hurt your back, your ankles, and/or your wrists. It's dangerous that way if you are in such a small area. But other than that, i think you can so do it on the floor.

  • It looked good. It's very cool that yoou did it. You kinda do a tuck and your backhandspring would be easier if you jumped back not up. It looked very good over all.

  • HUGE undercut- try extending backwards rather than up. And believe it or not - its easier to do on the ground than a matress that has no support. Its just scarrier :]
