@JonasClark The Bellagio was designed by a different company also. For WOC there were different demands for a show in turn leading to new technology and discoveries.

@BrianReesePhoto Yes, of course. I believe The Fountain People did WoC, and all the nozzles were custom-designed. But during the early days after opening, many people were hotly debating whether Bellagio or World of Color was "better". They're completely different shows, by different builders, with different intended audiences and a completely different format.

Though this video is amazing it does 'World of color' absolutly no justice. it is truely the most spectacular show at disney. i swear as soon as i saw this i bought all the World of color things I could find. DEFINATLY go and see it next time you go to Disneyland

Hint, though: The very nature of video and laser projection on water entails it being clearest only when seen from the front, looking at the projector through the water; there's no other way to do it clearly. World of Color has 18 projectors, 2 per box; 2x6=12 in the 'lighthouses' and 2x3=6 on the platform (not counting the projectors in the domes). Your best mileage will be from the stage area of Paradise Park, looking diagonally toward the Fun Wheel.

Bellagio/Dubai and World of Color are, and were designed and built to be, very different kinds of shows. That said, I'm a fountain show nut, seen shows all over. I love Bellagio, always will. World of Color is very different in scope, effect, intention and all; having seen it live, I can say honestly that, while the WoC equipment is capable of so much more, the show as it stands is really incredible live.

all the rides are closed at 8 ! and hour early before showtime!!! and the water is complretely recycled not a waste! the water that squirts from the fountains is from the lagoon and a water tank !! and it falls into the lagoon and it goes back up!! and besides disney aint that selfish!

I've seen it,but I didn't get a correct angle/spot.Don't go down unless your in the very front.The problem with being like down there is you have to be in the front or have be tall to see it.But if your in the middle back or on the stairs you might just have a awesome view. :)

What part of the year is the best time to go to Disneyland? I always went at Summer time and the crowd/heat make it a not-so-magical experience. I also really hated that they cancelled the fireworks because of winds the last time i went. So whats a good time where it's a little cool with no winds and is not so crowded?

@FantasmicMouse: During Christmas time of course!! Not only is the weather perfect, but the Christmas decorations are beautiful! Best month to go is last few weeks of Novemeber, even though Xmas time is a month away, it is just as beautiful as in Decemeber! And the firework show is the best during Xmas cuz it snows!! :)

i went on the ferris wheel when they were building this at the Anaheim California one. i was so scared cuz there was nothing but wood there and the ferris wheel rocked and rocked so there was this feeling that ur gonna fall right on top of all the wood and stuff. it was freaky!!!

The Bellagio isn't even intending to do what Disney is doing here, they are two very different show. It isn't fair to compare the two or say which is better because they aren't even shooting for the same thing. Now it depends which you like better, but that is your opinion.

@mario87lv I didn't even notice an italian village because the fountains were in front of it. What a back drop. Carnival games aren't the backdrop for world of color, you can't even see them because of the fountains, mickeys fun wheel with its lights is a much better backdrop than bellagio's semi nice buidling. World of color has those "gimmicky" things because its a night time show, bellagio is a 5 min show that happens from time to time so of course it won't have them.

They don't want people to camp out all day like with Fantasmic. Your best bet is to arrive at the park early and get a World of Color fastpass ticket from the Grizzly River Run fastpass machines. The ticket will say the time of your designated show and the time to arrive at the viewing area. :-)
