Mercy killing, or euthanasia is an dangerous idea and should never be a loved, because it is, in reality impossible to administer.
In a time of economic crisis, massive cut down on the public health care sector, hospitals, euthanasia will be misused on patients that is regarded as not valuable on the labour market. Especially old people will be “euthanized” by the doctors for economic and resource viewpoints. But also long time unemployed, people on sick pensions, homeless and groups a like.
what, so.. a life wth a low quality (mental/physical disablilty) is nt worth living? every life is valuable. just because some are ment/phys disabled dsnt mean they r "better off dead" or have the "right to die". thts basically saying some lives are more important than others. i dont think anybdy shud be killed. even if they are in pain, with the modern medicines available in stoping pain, or maybe they need a doctor better trained in alleviating pain. simply killing someone is nt the solution.
@TatLoLify this isn't about other people deciding this person's life is "less meaningful". euthanasia legislation is about VOLUNTARY euthanasia, meaning that after a person is declared mentally and emotionally fit to be making the decision, they're allowed to choose to end their OWN life, legally and painlessly. it's for people who are without doubt going to live lives of increasing pain, suffering, and misery and decreasing dignity due to an incurable terminal illness.
people, why dont you spend a day and night in a nursing home, look at them in the eyes and hear their breathing, see them in bed with tube inserted around them, their fragile bruised skin, contrlacted bones and unresponsive. It is painful to be in that possition, but even more painfull to see them suffering.
I guess the person created this video dont work in medical field. You want a quadriplegic to stay in bed 24 hrs a day with tubes put through their mouth and lungs to stay in a ventilator until they die. Within 1 week they have bed sores/ulcers all over their body and they die of some infection or they will have tubes put directly to their mouth as most cannot eat. What a dignified happy death!
Legally murder is the worst crime but surely leaving your victim either paralysed or severely mentally impaired is worse so euthanasia should be legalised.
Who says what's good and what is wrong?? People have the right to live, they should have the right to die..... well I don't know "this is my humble opinion"
do not let sad eyes from a loved one impair your vision with tears of sadness but rather rejoice as now you truly know that you made an impact on the world........
Euthanasia is murder.Don't send people quickly 2 hell. The temporary pain will end but the eternal in the lake of fire will begin.Come back 2 christ and ask 4 help.Thou shalt not kill.(Exodus 20:13)
everyone dies sometime, not evryone gets to decide how they die. i believe someone with a terminal illness, or something like alzheimers should be able to chose wether or not they wanna live any longer. its a free choice, people can commit suicide anyways, so if they are already dying or dead.
The most well known euthanasia story is the story of Ramón Sampedro His argument hinged on the fact that he was sure of his decision to die. However, owing to his paralysis, he was physically unable to commit suicide without help. He argued that suicide was a right that he was being denied, and he sought legal advice concerning his right to receive assistance to end his life, first in the courts of Spain, where his case attracted country-wide attention.
As a free thinker. I support euthanasia. Why? It's hard enough for those performing euthanasia on their loved one, without a group of fanatics assuming to understand / know what God thinks and wants. Last time I listened, God spoke to me and it was silence. That's the beauty of God. Secondly, karma is volition, if your intentions to relieve the suffering of someone are true than you are innocent.
i love god, yes. but not YOUR god. your god suffers from a bipolar disorder and is quite obsessive / compulsive. one moment he's all merciful the next he's wiping out generations because of the forefathers 'sins'.
if your god can whisper into my ear some truth, i'd gladly listen. if you say 'i'm deaf to his words'. then i'd reply 'he never gave me ears to hear his divine frequencies'.
oh your one of them.and i really dont believe much in god.no im not athiest im just thinkingif there is a god.but what kind of god would let you kill huh.if u believe in a god or gods then do you believe in hell.becacuse im sure killing is sending you to hell
this video has very little to show for the actual topic of euthanasia. very poorly presented... and shooting a war prisoner in the head isn't euthanasia
This is absolutely terrible... You clearly have no understanding on the issue. Therefore your oppinion in worthless. Do not pass go, do not collect 200. Come back once you've educated yourself then voice your oppinion.
Here's an education Jim. If God wanted you dead he would've taken your life. It's not ours to just quit just because it's painful. All of life is painful.
you're getting into a much different argument by talking about god
what about those who don't believe in god.... can they commit mercy killing? what you're saying is that we have no control on our own lives " It's not ours to quit just cause it's painful " you're saying that god holds higher control on our lives then we do.
and your last sentence i don't even want to talk about, your argument is pathetic.

To answer one of the questions in your vid: if my partner (who is the love of my life btw) ever comes in a situation were there's only suffering and no hope of recovery i will grant him his right to die. I will end his life myself if i have to. And i expect the same of him. we talked about it eand we know were we stand on this subject. It's not murder; it's love.
immoral? i think the immoral thing is forcing someone to live when they dont want to, i think its immoral to not let someone die when you have the chance to commit suicide if you want but they cannot because they are not able to.
yeah, the song is still crap, like on the other one. Killing in war is not euthanasia. Maybe you should research the topic rigorously as your understanding of the issue is woefully simplistic and extremely narrowminded.
it is blindingly obvious you have no clue what it is you are actually addressing.
