There is no doubt that she is one of the best singers of our time, but I definitely don't think she is the same person now as she was in 1991. People evolve, yes, but not always for the better. (Case in point: the Loverboy video) There was a certain innocence and sincerity about Mariah in her earlier days that, in my opinion, no longer resonates in her current work and I miss that.

I have to agree with you, it's not the best performance, some of the end notes trail off pitch. She needs to finish them properly. Mariah was at her best around 1992 - 1996.

I will love her endlessly. What I miss the most about this Mariah is just the confidence. The voice was so spectacular, and she was so assured that whatever and wherever she went with the song, that the voice would go too. There will never be anyone to compare in my opinion.
