  • My sister has been trying to teach me how to crochet with no luck but for some reason when I watched your video it just clicked. I made this scarf and I love it, thanks so much for sharing.

  • how many skeins of yarn was used for this project? I have like one skein of different colors of the lion brand homespun yarn and they are like part of my stash I want to use up. If it only took one cool.

  • I'm crocheting this right now ^_^

  • I love your videos!

How many rows did you crochet for this scarf? I would like to make mine exactly like yours! thank you :)

  • This one is so much more simpler than the other ones... oh and more entertaining lol

  • i made this for my mom for christmas

    she loved it!

  • Corrine, something I would suggest for you to try is to try holding the hook as if it were a knife. I couldn't help noticing how awkward you looked holding it as if it were a pencil. I know you said you don't crochet very much, but it might be a little less stressful on your hands when you do crochet. :) Just a suggestion. :)

  • I made one gray for my friend Vaso, one fuchsia for my friend Artemi and one blue for me.

my friends are so happy for their christmas presents :D

  • LOL I love Jerseylicious too!

  • At least I'm not the only one who watches Jerseyliscious and crafts at the same time :3 the scarf us cute !

  • want to try this but i have to say, I dont understand what you're doing

  • whats the brand of yarn you used all the yarns i use turn out ruff and i want mine cozy and soft

  • @Bblez97 it seems that she used "Lion Brand - Homespun, color" GOTHIC ". i got the one thats why i know

  • How many balls of yarn did you use? I *really* like the yarn you used, too!

  • Yippee! I liked seeing you on Threadbanger and now your on this channel that I happened to have stumbled upon....subscribed!!

  • Call me shallow but the hats not nice as the thing its sitting on! Sorry

  • please do a video on DIY crochet slippers!!!!!

  • can you show us how to cross stitch a name onto an existing christmas stocking? pleeeeaaaaase! :)

  • Oh god, Jerseylicious is my dirty little secret too!!!!

  • please make more crochet videos!

  • Corinne!!!! A tutorial on your gray hat???

  • @taylorswiftfanmay I believe she did a tutorial for this hat on threadbanger a long time ago. I'll see if I can find the link.

  • @cocopuff09120 nevermind found it

  • Crochet Greek

  • Fantastic and easy. Especially considering the fact that I've been trying to knit one since the year 1910 and keep making mistakes, so I have to keep pulling it out. I love this. Thanks.

  • lol great idea! I think ill watch me sum jersylicious while i do it too!!!! one of my faves!

  • HAHA a 'non-experienced hooker like me' in the description.

this is spectaculous, I love it, planning to make this for my mum.

    Thanks a lot :3

  • Hurrah! I'm always wondering what to do on the 3 hour train rides to see my boyfriend :) Leave for the snuggles and still come back home warm *^_^*

  • Love it...Great gift idea! Thanks for the tutorial! How much yarn did you need for that scarf?

  • great scarf!! thanks for the tutorial! did you make the hat as well, and if so... how? :)

  • I LOVE the scarf, your hair is adorbs, and this Real-Housewives-watching-lady will never judge.

  • I didn't see in the description but how many skeins of yarn did you use? Thanks you for the idea, my sister is going to LOVE this.

  • I don't want to be annoying or sth just asking if you're still planning on posting the "hair do" video. Or if you have already done that and I'm jsut stupid :)

  • @hici61 I added a link to the description:)

  • You cut your hair!! You brave woman!

  • Hi, great vid! The only thing I could ever conceive of giving enough of a crap about to crochet is a Dr. Who scarf. Could you talk about how to swap colours out? This vid was all the same colour, but I need a bit more confidence before I try something like that.

  • "Don't ever touch him!"

  • (= very nice and easy tutorial thanks!!!!!!!

  • how long of yarn did u use

  • I have that exact same type of yarn(but blue), and didn't know wth to with it, NOW I know! Thank you!!!

  • I LOVE THAT SHOW!!!!

  • inspiration hit .ooh! a smaller one would make great ear warmers to match thank Corrine

  • Just so you know for next time when you finish the row of chains it would be better to use a slip stitch rather than a single crochet to close up your circle. Then go ahead and start single crocheting.

  • Hey I was just wondering about how many skeins you used to make this

  • It looks like you learned to knit before crochet from the way you loop the yarn over the hook! :) There are so many techniques to doing this, and your's is new to me! Great tut!

  • Hi Corrine!

I noticed that you were sort of struggling with the control over you hook during this video. My I offer my advice? Instead of holding your hook like a pencil, try holding it against your palm with all four fingers around it, kind of like a knife. That might help steady your hook and help with speed.

Just a suggestion, there is no right or wrong way to crochet!

Keep up the great work and DIY or die!

  • Hi, maker here. This looks hard, isn't there a machine that can do this for me?

  • Ridiculously difficult seeming, but still. Awesome. haha

  • Crochet still seems very confusing, but I think you did a good job of explaining it! Thanks for the post!

  • Very simple, but very very cute. I'm going to give this a try. Thanks for sharing!

  • Your so cute. : )

  • oh my gosh! I found you, I saw this pinned on pinterest and was like "wait, hold up, is that Corrine?" I have so missed you guys since you left Threadbanger.

  • very nice tutorial for beginners indeed :)

  • It looks like she made a möbius strip.

  • I LOVE Jerseylicious!

  • LOL I used your crocheted hat tutorial last week for a last-minute gift for my sister...

Your scarf looks really nice, too.

  • is it just a basic loop, or is it twisted on on side? it's hard to tell from the last bit where you have it laying on the table.

  • Congrats on your wedding! I was wondering if maybe you could do a knit beret tutorial if you made the one you're wearing. I know Threadbanger has the crocheted one, but it's so bulky and the knit looks so much nicer. Thanks!

  • jerseylicous!!!!

  • Congrats on the wedding. I hope that you guys have a wonderful life together. And thanks for all of the videos, I have just started getting into the crafting, and I was gifted my moms old sewing machine (very first time of ever using one and its not going so well.)

  • how many chain stitches did you start yours out with?

  • omygosh ..your hair!!!!!!!!!!! That is so awesome that you're donating it. My daughter has done it twice, each time donating over 12 inches. Once at 6, and the next at 10. Such a great feeling....i make these and call them infinity scarves. :) ..i want to do a video chat with you for Craftovision if you're still doing that as well

  • omg, i do watch stuff like that when i do cochet or knit! it's such a guilty pleasure..hehe ;)))

I'm glad you made a new tute! it's exciting to wait for new ones!

  • Hi Corinne! Could you post a video on how to make a hat like the one you were wearing in this video? I know how to make a basic knit hat but not one with a baret(sp?) style, or frumpy baggy hat. Usually what happens is the band around the head stretches out and then it won't stay on my head. I've temporarily put some elastic inside and it usually helps but I was hoping you'd be able to spread your wisdom with how to make it w/o elastic. Please help! Thanks for all the great videos!

  • Hey, Corrine, very nice tute, as always!!! This is going to sound picky and I really don't mean it to, but I think it looked like the stitch you were doing is technically a front post only single crochet stitch (abbrev: fp sc) . A basic single crochet goes through both the top loops of the stitch. The front post sc is a good choice for the scarf, it's stretchier than a regular sc. I just wanted to clarify because this stitch might not work if someone tried it in a pattern that calls for sc!

  • @jatoha Thanks for letting me know! I am definitely not very proficient in crochet and have never done a pattern. Very good to know!

  • Have you tried holding the yarn wrapped around your fingers? Behind the pinky, in front of the middle fingers and behind the index finger? It tends to keep the tension better and make it easier to crochet with out having to look at it.

  • Which is better: knitting or crocheting? I just started knitting (seriously, I just started two days ago) and people keep telling me that crocheting is easier. Which do you like better?

  • @MusicFeedsYourSoul I don't know if one is better then the other but knitting seems way faster then crocheting.

  • I know that most girls learn how to crochet and knit from their grandmothers and mothers but I'm proud to say that Craft Mama Corinne taught me how two years ago. Your crochet videos are the best! I've been needing an idea for a few gifts and this is definitely the way to go! My friends will have Corinne to thank this holiday season!

  • wow thank :D

  • i can't believe no one has commented this yet.... all of your hair is gone!

  • @taniathepirate Didn't know you follow this channel also. lol

  • @taniathepirate haha! Yep! I cut it off after the wedding and am donating to Locks of Love. I have always wanted to do that. I also really wanted to change it up a bit. I have some pictures of it without a hat on on my blog if you are interested. Link is in this video's description box. xo! c

  • @craftzine well that's good that you donated it, i did the same thing years ago to Locks of Love

  • @craftzine I'm trying to grow mine out to donate too:D But honestly, I'm having a hard time, I wanna cut it already XD LOL!

  • aahhh this is so cute! Do you have a basic crochet tutorial?

  • @humsidah There are a bunch of great ones here on Youtube. Just search how to crochet. I really like the Crochet Geek.

  • @craftzine yes, Crochet Geek is excellent. I just finished a scarf with a puff stitch that I learned from one of her videos and is looks AWESOME. It's a great resource for crochet.

  • Congratulations Corrine and Rob! :-) Many Blessings and Many Years of Love, Friendship, Joy & Fun !!!!

    Thanks for posting!!! :-D

  • Love it :-) Thanks for posting this
