  • NNo such thing as a 13 second viper. Even the 92 like intnis vid can run 12.7 at 113 mph. The 96s run 11.8 at 121 mph. The 03s run 11.6 at 123 mph and the 08s run 10.9 at 131 mph. Never been a slow one made

Looks like that is one third the displacement of most american v8s and makes double the power. No replacement for displacement.. looks like that statement is wrong.   • @IntegraFilms But you see.. they do when they are turbocharged. Most people think small rotarys are like turbo 4 cyl, They can make the 800+hp but with no torque and a peak powerband. THAT IS WRONG. A 3 or 4 rotor with no turbo make alot of hp with not alot of torque.. kinda like honda engines. But slapping a turbo on them doesnt give you that down effect.. In one complete rotation of each rotor in a 4 rotor.. there is 12 completed cycles. .... .... ...

  • @mmdaniels33 Just because rotories can be modified doesnt mean a normal engine can't either... You speak about it as if its BETTER then the combustion engine... which its not, rotatory engines are extremely unreliable and constantly need maintenance, Not to mention only specialized mechanics will touch them, making repairs extremely expensive.... they are a rich mans toy... nothing more.

  • @IntegraFilms Their powerband is much higher up in the revs than normal big blocks, plus their reliability is beyond shit, they require a TON of maitenance, they eat oil and gas like there is no tommorow etc etc. The list goes on. But the point is.. when comparing a hypothetical 2.5-3.0l turbo wankel to a turbo big block or turbo diesel or whatever. Its numbers are just as good, with half the displacement. They would need to be revved up a bit more to make it.. but it does do it.

I had a friend with an RX7, and he sold it and bought a Ram with a cummins, hasent had to do anything to engine and hes at 200,000 + Rotories suck just accept it NOOB

    haha, this is true. I actually took off both the Dodge emblem and the SRT-4 emblem on mine. All I've got is the dodge ram symbol on the front.You can still see the discoloration where the letters were on the trunk if you look at it with the right light, though. Ah well. The cars are still beasts for the price. Annd you can definitely make them even beastier if you've got the right budget.

Maybe i'll win the lottery and buy one some day :D. But as for a family or daily comute car i use the Gran Am gt. Its a nice car to fly down the highway in and its very fun for a 4door sedan, it can also show the ricers whats what, which is always nice to be able to do.doesn't compare much the my GTO though

I don't know about anyone elses SRT, but my third gear is actually really torquey. <--Obviously not a word, but you get the point. It just depends on what speed you're rolling at if you want to get the best pull. 40mph I pull from second, 50+ I pull from third. give or take, ofcourse. But seriously, these cars are seriously underestimated. Especially with the right mods and driver.

  • @alonexinxme Have you ever ridden in a Viper? When you're on the highway and it has the throttle open, you get pushed in to the seat by the G's even when you're going 120mph. That won't happen in any Neon.

  • @kornrules516 The SRT-4 demolished every one of its competition at the time. It wasn't until Mazda released the Mazdaspeed 3 (several years after the SRT-4) that there was finally import competition for the neon SRT-4's at its pricepoint. The RSX, Civic Si, WRX, Sentra SE-R, Mazdaspeed Protege, Celica, Tc, etc. They all were slower, handled worse, had worse brakes and had less power potential than the SRT-4 while costing about the same. You had to go up $10k to the Evo and STi for competition.

Despite the fact that you are also stating false information regarding power potential, the WRX is all wheel drive. Not only will it handle better under conditions, they are CLEARLY better on a track and on roads. Please, know what you are talking about before you start typing.

  • @iDubbbb It HAS to handle better than the SRT-4 because its AWD right? RIGHT? wrong. The WRX had softer suspension tuning and more understeer than the FWD SRT-4. The WRX had a lower Slalom speed and lower skidpad numbers than the SRT-4. The SRT-4 came with a limited slip diff after '03 and had much more performance oriented suspension tuning. Not to mention you could grab an SRT-4 ACR with track tuned suspension. WRX's were and are under-steering pigs in stock form.
