First wave in @ 12 sec. is the biggest Maine wave I have seen ridden, that is caught on video.

Back in the late 80's I was at Higgins on a day in early spring and witnessed the biggest swell I have ever seen in Maine - it wasn't mushy junk either - high tide, very light offshore wind with feathering crests and peeling off in both directions. I would say consistent 8 ft w/ occasional 10ft sets and NO ONE OUT! Unfortunately I didn't have my camera w/me to record that epic day!

definitely is a long ass paddle out at that size. this is probably the biggest day on video for Higgins, or at least that ive seen.

not all spots in Maine/NE are mushy bro...you just got to know where to look..we have alot of uncharted sandbars and slbas which very few know about and barrel like crazy...right spot right time
