True! I`ve seen Sublime, Vandals and Minutemen at private residences. Some others most never heard of but got their 15 minutes. Soft Boys were great but I love The Egyptians. They were an awesome band to see live.

I've met him several times, and, once, when I used to run a VERY small-press rock-mag, he took the time to give me a loooooooong interview when he was dead-tired after a show and hurried trip from Chicago to Detroit and his manager was urging him to get some sleep instead. All of my other, much more brief encounters were similarly positive. In my book, he's one of the nicest rock-types I've met ...

This is from a 'secret' show at Largo in LA on the Soft Boys reunion tour. I was the Tour Manager/Sound Engineer and every second was a thrill.
