  • That's a girl to make a dad proud. And to have met Nokie Edwards, Jeeze! call me jealous. =Stefan=

  • この頃って一番可愛いですね!!

  • The Ventures' Pipeline?!?!? Where the Chantays go?

  • SHE is awesome and HAS GREAT Taste I have every VENTURE cd and she fits RIGHT in there GOOD for her wish Americans loved their artist as much as the Japanese do long live RnR

  • CHANTAYS wrote and did PIPELINE

  • Chicchi definitely rocks!!!!!

  • I want to see what this kid is like at 20 or 21 - she's going to be unbelievable! I didn't learn that song until I was 14, and I still had trouble. She has such tiny hands to pull off some of the turnarounds on that and not lose tempo. The only gripe I have with it is that the beginning of the video looks like an ad for that shopping mall - should have gone right into the performance for maximum impact. She's cute as a bug and going to be great - remember her name!

  • This song was written and performed by The Chantay's, the Ventures only did a cover version.

  • @lyon406 Correct - written by the two guitarists, Bob Spickard and Brian Carman.

  • @lyon406 thank you i was about to set everyone straight.

  • @lyon406 but stevie ray vaughan and dick dale did the best cover :) But this girl rocks - I love how the guitar is bigger than she is :)

  • 可愛い!

  • Que hermoosaaa!

  • nice best

  • soo cool i cant even play that song i wish i could play like that

  • for an 8 year old shes great... amazing in fact

  • This is fantastic. 5*****

    Eric - Studio ChinChan

  • Chicchi rocks!!!!!

  • Awsome! my favourite tune from the ventures.

  • This is fucking awesome!

  • Awesome!

  • good

  • 5 Stars...she's great!

  • Great! I wish I played the guitar that well! Great song to showcase her skills! Be well.

    Peace,

  • muy bien esta niña de 10 años toca padre saludos al japon por tener valores asi chicchi saludos desde mexico

  • 2 thumbs up, bravo lil one.

  • love that english in info :)

  • She's great. If Nokie Edwards himself thought she was special enough to give that Mosrite guitar to her then there's no doubt she deserves it. That is all.

  • I hope she sticks with it. It will be interesting to see how her playing evolves over time.

  • Odd that you cited SRV, a white man who is famous for playing black music (the blues). Oh wait, you're a sick racist, so it's not so odd.

  • I have read most of your comments and lot many are casting aspersions on such a small child .I being a Paediatrician a PPROFESSOR OF PAEDIATRIC MEDICINE ,would like to state that her cognitive and the metacognitive functions are well developed.

  • vidrot, Doc, I totally agree with you. I would be very proud to call her my daughter. Never mind the medical jargon. She is one fantastic girl. =Stefan=

  • YOu're Chicci's mom?? God bless you!!

  • She rules, same Ventures guitar I have

  • LOFL, I bet 99% of you boneheaded haters couldn't play that simple song with the Venture's choreography the way that little girl just did. "WHAAA! She has a better guitar than me! WHAAAAAA! I can't play and dance at the same time! WHAAAAAA!!!"

Yet another wave of clueless losers tattoos their ignorance/intolerance on their own foreheads. Way to go losers! The world is proud!

  • that kinda sucks

why does she have a nice ass mosrite if shes 8 years god damn old

  • That's cause your jealous. Period!

  • theirs a million guitar players with waaay more talent than her having to play shitty slabs while she gets expensive mosrite guitars so they can market her 8 year old japanese face

  • Jealous of an 8 year old AND racist. Wow, very mature!

  • yah i am jealous of an eight year old who has a fucking sweet guitar like that. You cant get those morsrite ventures guitars for under 1500$. and c'mon that was only a LITTLE bit racist

  • Idiot! How can one be just a little bit racist.

Dude! Get over it! Their were only so many Mosrite guitars made way back in the 1960's.

I consider myself lucky to own a Mosrite Celebrity which is nowhere near as nice as the model she plays. Listen! The Ventures were big in Japan. They sold more records there than in N.America! Japanese embraced this kind of music WAY more than we ever did.I've been playing guitar since I was 9...I'm 51 now and I'll probably never get a guitar like that!

  • Hey! isnt Japan "a little bit racist" I can go to Japan but i cant go to all of Japans restruants and clubs because I am a "foreigner". Does that sound racist to you? im Canadian and i dont see any White or Black people not letting ALL RACES into some of their bars

  • stupid chinch dosent know how to do dny thing

  • ye just like you don't know how to type ! but I agree thats not fair and there are many examples of better young guitarists than her i think they think shes good because she is a girl

  • thats funny and kinda awesome that grown men are jealous of a 10 year old because she has a Mosrite. That's how magical those guitars are!

  • @emerpus01 it's not becoz she has it... it's bcoz she earned it

  • I just sent this vid to Cousin Brucie...he's gonna love this

  • so...i can do it too o_0

  • so...i can do it too o_0

  • She is great !!!She is great !She is great !!!!!She is great !!!She is great !!!

  • By the time she's 16, she'll be the next Jimi Hendrix

  • Are you taking yourself seriously?

  • What a remarkable girl. She's going to be GREAT, in the future. I wish she was my daughter. Go, beautiful young lady!!!=Stefan=

  • ... Lol, no offense, but lots of 8 year olds can play Pipeline. its not that challenging of a song. Its still cool, but I am just putting that out there.

  • bravoooooooooo

  • Great talent, go girl!

  • Cool shopping mall.

  • Go Girl Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic!

  • Pay them no mind ChiCChi. Just keep playing no matter how big the guitar is. You are great and you will be greater still.

  • The mall music? And the Chantays did do this song originally... but this is done the Ventures way, and besides the Japanese generally dont know who the Chantays are because the Ventures are still quite famous in Japan.

  • Yes, the mall music... I seem to remember it from years ago.

  • What's that song in the beginning, before they start playing "Pipeline"?

  • This is by the Chantays, not the Ventures.

  • this little gal is cooooooooooooool!

what talent! a future MVENTURE for sure!

  • go on a US tour starting with SXSW.:-)

  • She's too cute!!!!

The Mosrite is too big for her ,needs a Mustang . Surf is still alive !!!

  • what a turd and a looser ..she is play and wtfaya...idiot

  • was that first guy santana?

  • I love this Chi Chi. Iran.

  • Amazing!

  • Beautiful music

  • ABSOLUTELY BITCHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow!wee!bloody incredible little kid!,just hope she stays in music and we see how she develop's in years ro come!.

  • oh my gosh that little girl rocks!

  • That was great. Looks like everyone was having fun. :)

  • Ultmate fine performance. I would like to see her play it when she can play with more speed and a little more precision as she matures. What a sweet sound emanating from her guitar. Very danceable. Primaitiva Dance Arts

  • Good for the girl, though its slightly scary with the Dad there, makes you wonder whose idea it was. Also this is a very simple song for 4 guitars... who knows who is playing what?

  • One of the guitars is a bass, so it's really 3 guitars playing. Watch these 2 videos of her playing when she was 8 years old, her dad isn't on stage with her and it is pretty easy to tell who is playing what guitar part: "SECRET AGENT MAN" and "WALK DON'T RUN". For those of you new to YouTube, these 2 videos are in the right column.

  • Watch this video too: "Walk Don'tRun-Perfidia-Lullaby of the Leaves /Ventures Medle" she is 9 years old playing on this one and her "dad" is on stage with her, also it is pretty easy to tell who is strumming bar chords and who is picking notes and playing leads (check out the lead she pulls off right after the 3:00 and the bend she does at 3:04). She looks very relaxed and seems to be enjoying herself, so I don't think she is under any pressure or anyone is forcing her to do this.

  • Hey JackOff1942 you're the only fake here, when you learn how to read and make a point maybe you can come back and make a comment. Nobody cares what you have to say or cares about your bio, so do the world a favor - go smoke some more of your toothpaste and continue defiling yourself.

  • that's not true...she's playing.

  • Definitely. She rocks! You can hear her straining out with minor imperfections in fluidity during some riffs given her tiny little fingers. I'm sure she would gain super-fluidity once her tiny fingers grow longer. Wonder kid! Can't wait to hear her own riffs!

  • uhhh obviously you know nothing about teaching little kids. That's how they play. Children often have trouble playing in bands because they're not used to playing in time; her fingerings do. True it's not remarkable by professional standards but it's amazing that someone her AGE can play like that. Don't put yourself on a pedestal by putting down someone who younger than half your age.

  • This is a little genie of the music, ladies and gentlemen. Bravo!

  • AWESOME!

  • awful song but the little girl plays good

  • really really great! i think i'm in love =D

  • Hi, I´m from Brazil... this little girl is amazing!!! I never saw some kid playing like that!!!

  • I now see the new Goddess of the Guitar...Chicchi.

  • arrechisimo

  • NICE

  • Wow...terrific!!!!!
