Beautiful Landing. I did a crosswind landing today, but with my remote control Piper :) haha. I flew KLM from L.a to Amsterdam. Dope flight. But I dont know who's better I I love Luftansa also but KLM are no joke either.

This plane is so.freaking.loud. last year i was at the Dorval bus station. there were really really dark clouds hanging over west-isle. but the winds were blowing east. so all planes were taking off towards west, and just after lift-off immediately banking left towards east. Then the KLM took off!!! couldn't have been more than 500 ft over my head with engines at full power - banking at about 30 degrees - gear still down... daaaang

A bit like a landing I had in a 777 in Boston, on March 30th 2008 AA56 I think, very heavy crosswinds, in flight info screen said 36knts 42knts gusting, plane was all over the place, landing smooth as silk though, only a slight bump, unlike one I had in Palma in 2006 Jarred my back woman screaming, peanutsand false teeth everywhere, and that was in conditions with just 1knt wind and that was tailwind!

Needless to say there have been some issues with MD-11's and Crosswind landings. However, this Pilot was a real pro. Look at 0:46 into the clip. He has deployed his thrust reverse and the nose wheel is not even down. This guy played it right by the book and greased it!
