I mean they say there's a lot of weapons in FO3 and there's a decent amount. 2 Assault rifles, one SMG, One semi-auto pistol, two revolvers, One bolt action rifle, one sniper rifle. You can basically get the top ones near the beginning of the game.

@Rooker0075 But isn't that the point of a post-apocalyptic setting? Ammo/supplies are supposed to be scarce. And alot of the fun of Fallout 3 was trying to survive, managing supplies carefully so you won't die like a bitch from radiation. Besides, ammo was plentiful if you knew where to look. By level 13, I think I had over a 1000 5.56 ammo. Explore a bit, and the bullets and caps come flowing in) And if you think fallout 3 ammo is scarce, try fallout 1/2. You'll 50 extra rounds if you're lucky.

@viliussmproductions it depends, i like them both equally but as for content, fallout 3 goty addition has tons, where fallout nv has more things you can tweak, with gun mods, ammo types, reloading bench. i found the in the nv story line, your actions are more acounted for, you can really develop your character, where fallout 3 felt more single-minded. but thats not to say that fallout nv doesnt have downfalls. i find i likes fallout 3s combat to much more enjoyable and the enviroment too

I LOVE this game, I got the collector's edition on they day it came out, but played it after christmas with a freind back in 2008...We were SHOCKED and HOOKED on to this game, I got all the uniqe weapons, armor, clothing, all DLC, I beat and got all the unique guns/armor there...and for the first time, I actually got ALL the achevements...I barely even play games, but this is simply amazing. Love it, BTW I got the collectors edition of Fallout NV, and its not bad either, love it too!

@gzito123 its ok. it actually has a BIGGER map than fallout3. because fallout 3 never had all those rooms and caves along with some tunnels. and when you walk you dont move as fast as falllout 3. try it. walk for 10 seconds and look at where you started to where you ended. and then do the same for the other game.

could someone help me - I lost my sidekick Sydney in a fight, then just took her kick ass michine pistol and lefter dead body and moved on. I've seem some video where the player has sidekick. heh, yeah it's really easy to get flamer fuel in fallout 3. Me, for example, I'm using the incerator from broken steel EP, and I have OVER 2100 FF in my inventory on my Xbox 360! Also lot's of alien ammo, something like 1000 - 1500 also over 2000 MC. ANd all this in Lvl. 22. But it was a pain to get dat much!

I think Fallout New Vegas didn't have that survival feeling that Fallout 3 had. In Fallout New Vegas everything is starting to return back to normal. If Fallout 3 had iron-sights, gun mods, more enemies, and more guns it would definitely beat New Vegas.
