hrm, when you "finish" it off and put your hook thru the first single crochet you use your hook to pull the "tail" thru and that should do it (pull tight and weave the tail in with a needle) . . . I hope this helps! I'm so glad you got back into crochet!

thanks for teaching me how to make my first flower! I am a beginner who has just learn't how to make a hat in the past and forgot how to do it, so I thought I would try youtube....to my suprise there are lots of videos! so now I'm learning the basics.

The flower is no where near as good, but practice makes perfect!!
