Hi. Ive been viewing this video, and other videos. I have a question. Is that Hy Rail Chevrolet truck the Toledo lake erie & western's Truck? Is that the company's truck?

@dhankins02 No, we run yearly motorcar runs & Hy-rail trucks are also welcomed. The TLE&W only uses motorcars for inspection & work, not hy-rail trucks, thanks

@TheZeke1974 Good question. Well, the motorcar wheels are insulated to prevent this. It would be a disavantage to be doing MOW by a crossing and have it active full time while work is being preformed by the crossing. Thanks for the comment. Also cars have the right of way over motorcars so, we must wait for traffic to clear.

@steamman5320 Glad you asked. It's a Wisconsin V4. It has it's good & it's bad days. We are always upgrading it. Last summer a new altenator was added to it.

@Conrailfan2323 It's really not that bad for seeing just passenger train traffic on weekends seasonaly. The track MOW is preformed all by voulunteers including me so, progress is slow. The cart did not derial from the track but, due to the fact that the switch was still being fixed and the cart has odd wheels. Thanks

@ConrailDave1999 Yeah I know. You are requried to stop for cars when in a motorcar.They always have the right-of-way with railroad motorcars / hy-railers. I was just saying in the video "look how no one notices anything anymore" Meaning no one really seems to look at railroad crossings.

@ConrailDave1999 It is, even though these crossings have lights, that does not stop idiots. When we run our train we have some close calls here at that main crossing. People see the flashing lights & hear us coming but, they don't care they don't want to wait for a 3 car long toursit train, they would rather risk their lifes.

@CSXandSpartanfan33 We are trying to replace every 4th tie and 1 under every track joint. Yes in the future when we have enough money we will rebuild the whole line. Track work will be an on going project for a few years.

@Seaboard1321 Thanks man. Motorcars are fun! We are probably one of the few railroads around that still use motorcars for MOW. Most use HY rail trucks.
