This video is priceless! I loved the part where Chip or Dale (not sure which one it was) was chasing the kid around. And seeing Pluto without his tongue hanging out was just plain weird.
My first visit to WDW was in the summer of 1973 at the age of ten, but we didn't have a video camera. I love seeing 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea which, of course, is long gone. Thanks so much for posting this and please thank your parents for the camera work. This brings back a lot of great memories.
As a parent of 3 small kids, I fully expected to see that kid trip and crack his skull on the bench while being chased by Dale. Chip would have pulled up early on.
So you didn't have to line up and wait your turn for a minute with the characters with body guards to snap a quick picture? How carefree everything seems.
I love this video, purly for the old costumes! I was the one who suggested the new section on your site, and I'm glad you like it! Too bad I have to wait until 2010.
-Dale getting a little too physical with the kid and the following reaction around 5:51 is priceless.
-I love that old Pooh costume for some reason. He's the spirit of the classic characters! Of course, I wasn't born until much later, but it's still fun to watch.
No, I couldn't ever get any of them to REALLY talk to me. I can probably do something for old characters on the site this year ... after the Jungle Cruise page everything else should be easy.
Do something for old characters??? You mean like a retirement home or something? I...uh...was good friends with some of those as they appeared in this video...
When my wife first saw this I expected her to say something like, "oh how cute." She said my mother should have been put in jail. Then my daughter saw it and asked if I used to be a girl. I told her I still am, and after that it just got kind of weird.
I loved this video!! Thanks for sharing!

You're a brave man... Were I in your position, I would have destroyed all evidence that my parents had ever dressed me like that.
