thanks a lot for your help... I had to erase my phone to sell it and i got it stuck with an Apple and spinning wheel. Thankfully I found your video and restored my phone back to 3.1.2... then jailbroke, unlocked and sold. Thanks again kind sir.

I followed your video, and at the end of the restore there was an error msg "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknow error occured (10)" I left my SIM card in...should I have taken it out to do the restore?

in the title above it states that this is for both the ipod and the iphone..all good, but i think that at the point of seting up the ipod/ iphone...it needs to be added and clarified that if you create a new iphone, you loose your contact info....let me know if im mistaken...

i just did the 3.0 firmware update on my iphonr after seeing your video. everything went good....i did select new iphone...why are all my contacts and phone numbers and info gone?? how do i get them back? please let me know...what did i do wrong? i will really appreciate it...

Please can you help me Joker, I have recently upgraded to latest version of itunes (8.2.1.6) and I want to upgrade my ipod touch to latest software version 3. My ipod touch is already jailbroken. I have Installer, Cydia, and Winterboard on my screen. In the "About" screen it tells me i am using software version 2.2.1 (5h11). How would I go about upgrading my ipod touch to the latest software?

I have iPhone 3g with 2.2 firmware + jailbreak, what will happen to my appstore application and to the Cydia apps after restoring to 3.0 firmware?

No problem, but unfortunately, you will loose all cydia apps unlessyou back them up, which im not very sure how to do, butyou can searh it on yutube, but the appstore apps will remain if you sync them with your itunes on the computer!

when i download the firmware, in the folder it comes up with a bunch of different folders and stuff, ex: folders called .fseventsd and Firmware, but the firmware isnt located in either :(

Make sure you download it from the bottom section ipod touch/iphone and not the top which sais ipod!
