  • haha I had to laugh when it cut to them lay up against a bench the garden drinking their cups of tea. The seem at peace.

  • how nice is the last shot George, Paul, Ringo around the piano working, smiling. John would love it.

  • George is the man

  • What are they talking about in the beginning there? The scene from Help! with Ringo in the trunk of the car?

  • @jltroupe I think the story was Ringo smashed into George's car and George never knew it.

  • Paul taking over everything again ! George did not want to play Bluemoon at all ! You can just tell ....

  • @trickykid73 "Just a shortened version!"

  • 8:10 Extremelly sad

  • 8:50 Extremelly sad

  • It was at Paul's home studio.

  • @stigmajosh

It was at george's home studio. patrick45sue is correct

  • Wonder whose home this is...or where this was shot, anyone know for sure?

  • @ellonysman At George's house....

  • It is apparent that George didn't really want to perform "Blue Moon".....

  • i think it was really sweet how ringo dealt with johns not being there by pretending he was out to lunch i would never have been able to do that because i would just cry

  • Ringo moved me to tears talking about recording without John in the room and how he dealt with it by pretending he (John) just stepped out for a few minutes and would be back....if only that were so for John and (now) George.....God, I feel so lucky to live in an age (technically) where I can sit in the comfort of my own home and watch these guys and listen to them....and bringing all the magic back again.....Beatles 4Ever....xoxo

  • It almost seems like either George didn't want to be playing, or that he was already sick, and it was just starting to show.

  • Imagine how zany, fun and off the wall the jams would've been had John been there. Good stuff as it is, but John would have put the Beatle atmosphere completely back in its place.

  • I think we can all agree that 90's fashion was embarrassing.

  • I think it's sweet that Ringo mentioned the boys pretended that John was just out to lunch! It is so great to hear John's voice and have the Beatles all together again!!

  • Ringo is making me cry at the end!!! He is so sweet!!!!!

  • George was so quiet when the boys played "Blue Moon of Kentucky."

  • I just doesn't seem right without John!! I know he would have loved to be a part of this!!!

  • sweet lovely guys

  • oh... george really got fat :/

  • Aw, when Ringo said it had been a pleasure and so forth i started crying.

  • Paul: Could we do Blue Moon of Kentucky?

George (thinking): I'll play whatever you want me to play, or I won't play at all if you don't want to me to play. Whatever it is that will please you, I'll do it.

  • @kbandersson lol

  • @kbandersson hahaha....that was George's reply in Let It Be when he Paul and him were arguing about how George should play. Cool

  • The more and more you watch the people behind the music. the more you love them.

  • I´m crying right now... very very touching.

  • George seems like he doesnt want to be there... Dont think he had much love for paul..

  • @JonathanAnon mmmmmm he dont had love to the camaras!!

  • I miss John and George...thanks for posting.

  • todo mi amor al ukulele je je nada mas

  • LOVE

  • poor Ringo-always the underdog. At least the 3 remaining Beatles don't hate eachother

  • @QueenBeatlesWings You know George is dead too, right?

  • @knuckles362 ok- I meant at the time- in this video. so today its the remaining two Beatles that get along.

  • @QueenBeatlesWings Gotcha. Sorry if I came off as an ass, I just wanted to make sure you knew.

  • @knuckles362 no problem-Peace!

  • anyone know the bass Macca's using at 7:00?

  • @rockerr12595 FENDER JAZZ BASS

  • George Said "Lets See For The Next 40 years." And he died years later. :( RIP John L. And George H.

  • I never needed them to reunite, I just needed to know they didn't hate each other.

  • @RichYan33 Ditto exacto

  • @RichYan33 Great comment...............

  • i freaking love these guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You can really see Ringo's sadness when he was interviewed. He really, really miss his friend john lennon.

  • Always when Ringo gonna say something Paul takes the word from him and starts talking about something else... Paul seems like he don't care what Ringo says.

  • You just dindt give a damn LOL 00:24

  • anyone notice the pause Paul took after "the three of us..."?

that alone is pretty heartbreaking. I'm glad they left John in, it's nice to hear everyone's contributions, and John's piano and vocals. <3

  • Yes, John is in heaven. He deserves nothing less.

  • so the Beatles did get together again..

  • I think he clearly was 'putting it down'. All the things he's singing about in Imagine are things that pretty clearly he saw as unhealthy. Consumerism, killing driven by religion and nationalism, manipulation of poeple through the carrot and stick of heaven and hell.

  • The book "Gospel According to the Beatles" has an interesting story about John's conversion to Christianity after seeing the mini series "Jesus of Nazareth."

  • Jhon is in heaven yesssssssssssssssss

  • Comment removed

  • Actually, George met Elvis backstage at MSG in late 1971. George was in NYC to supervise the editing of the Concert for Bangladesh concert movie. He got backstage pass for an Elvis concert. George complimented Elvis on his version of "Something".

  • Yeah, he said "IMAGINE" there's no heaven. You obviously didn't get it. I think John was saying, "Imagine there's no heaven-what would happen then?" Imagine there's no countries-what would the world be like then. It's about possibilities, about challenging all the hard and fast rules of life, about questioning things and asking "What if?" He wasn't putting it down, he was trying to provoke people into examing themselves and their beliefs, prejudices, what they KNOW, or THINK they know.

  • I don't think so. After all, Lennon said:"Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue with that; I'm right and I will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first - rock 'n' roll or Christianity." I agree!

  • That was from an article about an interview Lennon gave in 1966, 24 years before his death. I'm guessing his attitude may have changed or been tempered by maturity. Besides, I wasn't talking about his beliefs, I was talking about what the words of Imagine meant to me. Your interpretation is your opinion, not a fact.

  • 14 years before his death

  • I'll bet Ringo knows way more about John than you do.

  • That doesn't mean "john is in heaven." Supernatural claims with no proof. Ridiculous.

  • i have a blue domestic shorthair cat named Luna ;)

    bluemoon.

  • ringo is totally on blow

  • Blue Moon of Kentucky sounds ace,..FAB,..

  • "I like hanging out with you guys." If ony they had realized that 40 years ago they might have gotten over their difficulties and carried on together into the '70s.

  • john would of token over the whole anthology interviews if he was alive

  • this is so tight, id kill to even see them at that age just playing around like that. RIP John & George, they're jamming in a better place right now.

  • even when they're busking they're incredible! those vocals...

  • Ringo looks at his watch at 4:27 Paul can do that to a person ;)

  • And ringo still has his camera with him! :D

  • Ringo hasn't shown his eyeballs in 30 years.

  • We miss you George...

  • Ringo looks like he is a bit wasted hehe.

  • Ringo's words about "John gone for lunch" always make me cry..

    and George..

    it's beautiful:)

  • Brothers FOREVER...............

  • G E O R G E forever! We love you!

  • Comment removed

  • Ringo è il mio mito..."Mi piace stare con voi ragazzi"...la nostalgia viene anche a me!

  • Awesome.... i can't remember who did the interviews... i think it was jools holland and???? but the crew get paid to have a gig from the beatles.... nice!

  • Can anybody explain to me why George referenced Roger and Dave of Pink Floyd?

  • Because Roger Waters left the band and they still went out as Pink Floyd

  • Oh. thank you.

  • Actually, it was Dave Gilmour who still went out as Pink Floyd, which is why George corrects himself.

  • Actually thats what I meant by saying R Waters left but they still went on without him led by D Gilmour.

  • I think George is underappreciated.

  • @X0XhallielinnXOX if you think thats bad just imagine how ringo feels :D

  • Me gusta que Ringo diga que John esta en el cielo ya que realmente lo esta.

  • Lmfao at the kids toys in the background at the beginning

  • Me gusta mucho el sentimentalismo de ringo cuando dice q se la ha pasodo bien con los otros 2 es simplemente muy bello su gesto.

    Viva Ringo

  • i like jeff lynne he seems really nice

  • where were they at the halfway point on that grassy area playing "Ain't She Sweet'?

  • I thought that was George's garden, but I'm not sure.

  • that's what i thought. at friar park, right?

  • I think so, yeah! Ringo says: "thanks for having us" , so that would make sense.

  • RINGO! <3

  • let ringo speak at the end! crist

  • "Roger Waters or Dave Gilmour..."

    Hahahah, George!

  • I like how they are singing music from the grand ol oprey

  • aaaaah John esta en el cielo(: qe lindoo

  • Wow when all of them could've get over that John wasn't there I felt their grief

  • how cute was ringo when he was saying "i really like hanging out with you guys" i love him =]

  • YOU TWO BOTH ARE!

    STFU!

    Ringo RoCKS!!

  • i miss john lennon...........

  • miss sleeping with him?

  • @Kingstom60 John Lennon needs to be there at the round table, reminiscing with the Beatles!!

  • When Ringo is talking about John and when he said "John's in heaven" that made me tear up.

  • would of been better if john lennon was alive and there. that would of been cool.

Rest in peace, John Lennon and George Harrison

    </3 :(

  • Middle-aged rock & roll legends having coffee and jamming on a ukelele. Pretty cool!

  • After so many years they see each other again and just be like they never split up! <3

    The Beatles RULES

  • just great

  • se ve como que si george no quisiera interpretar blue moon of kentucky, pese a la insistencia de paul. no se, es lo que yo percibo. (no por nada le dice "solo una version corta")

  • love it

    miss john though

    :(

  • George's Elvis anecdote is hilarious!

  • they're very good but unfortunately they miss john...but they appear happy so they really seem to be back again...i miss you beatles..

  • Brilliant!!! Their song at the start... just how amazing would it be to be in that room while the were singing and playing their guitars like that... purely organic Beatles. I hope the camera people lapped it up.

  • Just a great band.

  • me bloody respects to the mates from liverpool.

  • Probably, but he still is a great drummer... you fuckface.

  • the drums on 'Helter Skelter' stand up to the heaviest metal any day of the fuckin week.

  • no, it's just you-idiot!

  • No disrespect towards George, but Elvis had moved on from the style that George was wishing he would perform.

Just like the Beatles had moved past their mop top, Beatlemania days both in terms of style and music.

Harrison, McCartney and Starr did take in to account how popular that type of music Elvis was doing in the 70's was in the U.S. back then.

Acts like Elvis, Tom Jones, Sammy Davis Jr., Robert Goulet, Neil Diamond wre big draws in and out of Vegas with those types of performances.

  • I meant they didn't take it in to account.

  • I think what George meant was that he did not like what Elvis had become. To get back to your obsevation, you must admit that it's one thing to move on from "She loves you" to "All things must pass", and it's another to go from "It's alright mama" to performing Karate moves during Las Vegas concerts.

  • True, but I think George didn't realize alot of the great songs Elvis during the "Jumpsuit" era such as Suspicious Minds, Burnning Love, Always on my mind, An American Trioly ect.

  • Sucks that George died 5 years later.

  • I love The Beatles..Check out my Beatles Motorcycle. Type in: Beatles Motorcycle

  • At 5:38 did george say little twitchy face? lol

  • I believe it's "Chu-Chi Face". Like the song, from Chitty Chitty Bang, Bang".

  • 5th? the 4th (john ) is dead. 5th? There was STuart. If you were alive to remember that. I wasnt. I love the beggining when George was talking about his car R.I.P John and George and Stuart and Brian (thier old manager)

  • where is the fifth beatle?

  • "I like hanging out with you."

    Put very simply! Hahaha

  • I miss George....=(

  • lol george sounds a lil like willy nelson singing blue moon of kentucky lol

  • Three naturals...hurt my eyes seeing George there, playing with Paul and Ringo and having fun....Makes me sad he died so young.

  • ive felt him many times lmao paul you felt him no wonder he didnt stand up

  • i like hangin out with you guys, ringo, to bad george had cancer

  • lol like ringo talking about his car and that at the beginning "just as I got right up his ass... a dog came out in front, I SLAMMED the breaks, I SMASHED right into him, roughed the fuck out of my car" LOL!!!

  • Oh ya it was ringo. RIngo duh. I said George.

  • "'Cause John's in heaven."

    That made me cry..

  • 3:52 - The way George is talking about Elvis is the same way the kids talk about their biggest idol: reverently. And they're The Beatles, for god's sake. That's why they will always be the best band on the planet.

  • i could go sleep quite happily with this conversation in the background :)

  • Oh I also got thoose IKEA-chairs that george got there. Somehow I have always known that he´d got them to... I wasen´t suprised When I saw it hehe

  • I've got a waistcoat just like Ringo. Who else has got things like the things that the Beatles have got?

  • Wow how did I not know about this footage? I need to get anthology! Was this 1994?

  • yeah it was 94

  • 95 lolz!

  • and this is anthology 9, is a rare dvd limited edition. I have the 1-8 on vhs. they are great and 'you do need' to get them!

  • the version of real love on the begining of the Imagine movie, is by far my favorite version of real love. there are lots of acoustic versions, but none like the opening to the imagine doc.

  • On Free as a Bird: "The fans heard them - we hadn't" OH...YEAH...RIGHT. If anyone had had access to Beatle/Solo bootlegs - it was them.

  • Yeah, but you don't really think they sit around listening to their own outtakes and stuff, do you? George doesn't even know which albums any of the songs were on.

  • Good point - maybe their handlers tried to keep that stuff away from them, come to think of it.

  • "Broke the fuck out of my car..." LOL!

  • Ringo appreciates the cammaraderie between them...

The other two also do, even if they don´t show it so much.

But yeah, Ringo was always the sweetest of the 4.

  • Ringo is the sweetest!

  • Why oh why did George let his hair grow? Give Mr. Rapunzel some scissors!

  • What does Paul say after Ringo says "I like haning out with you two guys"?

    "Little Cho Cho face"?

  • Little Chutchy face. Not sure if it's just a Liverpudlian expression. Can't say I've ever heard it anywhere else.

  • What does that expression mean though?

  • I can only give you the context 'cos I don't know where it comes from but I remember my parents and grandparents saying it to me when I was a child. It's a term of endearment you might say to someone who's being sweet or childishly innocent... or a child. In a similar vein to "diddums" (assuming you're familiar with that expression).

  • i miss john at that table

  • June 23,1994 at Harrison's house....

  • George didn't seem too interested in starting. Ringo hit the drums before George could change his mind. Was George afraid people might enjoy it? -Or was he just spiting Paul. Ringo always seems to "buffer" between them in Anthology.

  • You mean at 0:28. I heard that the producers wanted them to do a Beatles tune but George didn't want to and wouldn't budge, then he got pissed when someone mentioned doing Let It Be. Strange, though, because George at the same jam session with a smile introduced "Thinking of Linking," an early Paul one from the Beatle days. George was having a grumpy day. He's still my favorite!

  • You "heard"? I hate it when people claim things without naming their sources.

  • OK, I "read" it. Sheesh, calm down. The details to which I refer were on a Beatles-related website that talked about all the unreleased stuff from the Anthology series. There was apparently so much unused stuff that Apple is considering releasing more.

  • "a Beatles-related website" That's a reliable source. I just don't believe everything I read on the Internet.

  • Well I consider Apple Productions about as reliable a source on Beatles output as there is out there. Peace.

  • How do you know? George seemed perfectly interested to me. He got out his guitar and started playing like a good little Georgie. If anything Ringo is the one who "seems" glum not George. But then again, I don't claim to be able to read minds.

  • check out paul mccartney cooking mashed patatoes i dont know how but he finds a way to make cooking entertaining go to imcooked(dot)com to see it its really funny
