  • Dont be mean but i just want to now, if i could learn this form by only watching this vid, see, arround here theres no one who could actualy teach kung fu, and this is the closest to it that i can get, so i want to now that if theres any chance that it works

  • Good moves, very precise. Chineese style, not western.

  • absoluter kult film

  • Hey I learned this in Taiwan, thanks for posting! I heard it's called 工字伏虎拳 (Gong zi fu hu quan) in Taiwan, but others might call it 少林伏虎拳 (Shaolin fu hu quan) or just 伏虎拳.

  • Nice work. At my kung fu school I learned several techniques you show in this video, mainly the elbow strikes and grapple throws, and leopard strikes, which were taught within the name of "Shoalin kung fu" Most all my footwork and leg strikes are from the Northern Praying Mantis style. Pretty much im saying if there is one style to focus on which has multiple strategies, its Shaolin Kung Fu in itself.

  • The beginning of this form looks a lot like a section of Hung Gar's much longer "Taming The Tiger" form. It almost looks like it was excerpted from the first half of that form, and then modified. It's missing any element of the second half and the bridge training from the beginning is gone, but the whole form is very much in a Hung Gar sort of attitude. Cool.

  • @big1shoota This is the "Gong Zi Fu Hu Quan" Taming the Tiger set of Lin Jia Kun's Five Animals Hung Fist from Guangdong, brought to Taiwan in the late 1940's and taught at the Taipei Kung Fu Association by Chen Shuei Tsai.

  • Beautiful form, fast fluid and powerful,I do wish the cameraman had been closer though, some of the hand movements/positions are hard to see from that distance. Very cool vid though, thanks for posting!

  • Nice form! Looks very solid and powerful.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • tiger form is very intense using that internal fire but thai chi the combative style translates to supreme ultimate fist, and i have heard from the greatest teachers i have hadprivledge to learn under that thai chi at its highest levels is one of the most deadly forms/styles. master of elements and priest training. Idk just my 2cents

  • @LoveSavestheDay25

yeah my sifu was world champion combat tai chi for several times and he learned an old traditional tiger form in china as well and well when we where sparring and he used tiger i didn't really wanted to get in his way, it's pretty rough but when he uses his tai chi you really don't want to mess with hem. it really hurts :P tiger is more of my specialty and i really love doing it. it really is an intensive internal style, but when it comes to internal nothing beats tai chi.

  • I like tiger forms concept to both countering and striking force

But you do need fast reaction speed to deliver this well true memory muscle does help but not completely

  • I don't but I like the tiger form!

  • Then look for something else!

  • I like the headbutts ;-)

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but this form seems to have Taoist elements in it. Very Tai-Chi like in flow, but with big strikes

  • gungfu is originate in china same as tai chi but tiger style gungfu have pronounce strikes open hand with a strike then slash motion untrain eye see similarity but tai chi is peaceful gungfu is combat

  • It is not quite accurate to call tai chi peaceful any more than any other Chinese martial art. Most do stand for peace already, if I'm not mistaken. Though, it depends on the teacher, whether the taichi is done in a peaceful or war-like manner, in terms of both application and stilistic differences in forms. I leared to generate powerful punches thanks to tai ji, and also to have a goodd root, both attributes are useful if not essential to fighting in situations requiring self-defence skills.

  • Tai chi can also be used for combat.. Depends on how you train for it..

  • Tai Chi is a Martial Style. Its only been seen done in Slow speed since the Cultural revolution. I practive both Tai Chi, and Longfist, and they are very similar , believe it or not.

  • know theis moves they are realy bold but he dose it so fluidly .cool

  • nice

  • this is why you shouldnt fight strangers, very fluent movement that narrows point of attack, also unpredictable.
