  • The ending was much more dramatic in the book. I really wish they didn't take out the bird whistle.

  • So Thad's friends and associates are all still murdered by something he dreamed up. Shouldn't he feel guilty or something?

  • He sure kept moaning for a man without a face - But now we know there were two of them. But I don't get how the growth lived. I am so confused. But happy the good guy won. Although I don't think any of them would ever be the same. I couldn't stay married to him knowing any of this. And the kids - Hells falling down around them - and they're playing patty-cake.

  • @SeanMBryans It's like the old woman explained. The fetus wasn't his actual twin, just a vessel that the entity used. It didn't live, it was more like it was just turned back on.

  • Makes me hungry

  • Disappointed at the ending of the film. They should've carried it out a bit more.

  • Angry Birds... DAMN NATURE, YOU SCARY!!!

  • @MrPichupal Dat lil rat lookin thing just got ate!

  • it would suck balls if stephin kings books came to life

  • and that, my dear friends, is why you leave stories like this in books...

  • I am screaming at the movie! How could it end like that?!? Well, Thad is going to jail for sure.

I cant' believe Romaro directed this!

  • If Thad was black this would be a court house movie

  • Save Stephen The King, now the film, my goodness!

  • Thanks for uploading this great movie g8view. It's also a very good quality and I have enjoyed watching the entire move. I love Stephen King and I wondering if you also have "needful things" which I have been unable to watch or get my hands on. If you have this move and could upload it to that would be great. I am subscribed to you. Thanks for your contributions and cheers for now. M.

  • They didn't make it nearly as believable in the movie as they did in the book. The book was a whole lot scarier... and sicker.

  • @thezeldagoddess Oh yeah. I read it and I nearly threw up while reading the descriptions of George Stark when he was deteriorating.

  • thx very much

  • Sparrows, come back you missed something, well two things actually.

  • So the birds pecked the shit outta that guy. How were the babies so chill the whole time? Them things was like fucking bats flying into the house.

  • Before now I had only seen this movie on tv. They sure cut out a lot of this scene

  • What a strange movie.

  • In the same room as GeorgeStark I meant..

  • At the end of the film when GeorgeStark has been knocked down to the floor against the book case, and "Dad" hurls away the switch blade from one of his two babies... Was "Dad" really going to leave both of his beautiful babies alone in the same as GeorgeStark while he would go and find hid wife downstaires?????? That was the most shocking part of the movie!!

  • Thumbs up if the lower resolution gave you a seizure

  • george stark reporting to satan .."sorry boss, we were beaten by the sparrows"

  • Looks like the sparrows had a good feed.

  • 2:05 Hey! Wait for me! Wait for Baby!

  • rare specie of carnivorous sparrows, one that perhaps should be studied closely, especially if they have connection with the devil ROFL

  • Comment removed

  • That was definitly the worst movie adapted from a book that I have ever seen in my whole fucking life!! shit you can cut parts of the book to make it shorter for a movie! BUT DON'T GO FUCKING CHANGING IT!!!! YOU RUINED THIS SHIT UP!!

  • The babies were so adorable and cute. I very much enjoyed this movie. Thanks for posting it online.

  • Just in case you thought this was a happy ending – no, it's not. Thad Beaumont ends up going insane. Liz takes the kids and leaves him. He eventually commits suicide. Alan Pangborn's wife Annie and son Todd are killed in a car crash, and he falls into depression. The town of Castle Rock gets completely destroyed by the manipulations of a demon peddler, whom Alan then banishes with the power of Todd's toys. And Norris Ridgewick kills Ace Merill, the bully from Stand By Me. Seriously, it's true.

  • I Wanna strangle babies

  • WHY WAS THIS MOVIE 99% BABIES' FACES!??

  • @okcomputer1016 Apparently, the Target Demographic for The Stephen King Industry were Lower Middle Class Breeders. It's like when Bush The First kept getting elected by saying the word 'Grandchildren' over and over. Showing the Babies' faces repeatedly was a cynical and tacky attempt to keep the Breeders invested in the rather strained premise of this pathetic film.

  • @megaswenson My, what a dehumanizing, cynical, and thoroughly unhelpful answer.

  • @MacDufferfish Only glad to help!

  • @okcomputer1016 Okay, I've got three possible reasons (but seriously, it's a lot of babys' faces). 1. Because they feature heavily in the book, 2. because cutting between them and a man being eaten by sparrows is shocking (I guess?) and 3. twin symbolism!

Also, 4. I'm responding to a year old, probably rhetorical comment, and I'm probably overthinking it. :P

  • ....Well.....that's just silly....

  • We sparrows will tear your soul apart!!!

    Far-out.

  • hick of a way to lose weight, he's nothing but bones now.

  • Great movie!! Love Thad

  • @rainbowk11d Oh yeah. Such an underrated movie, even by half the fools on You Tube.

  • kids are cute while watching two ppl fighting ;)

  • some hungry birds!

  • now thats how all cop killers should die

  • Those are some badass effin sparrows.

  • .....and he lived happily ever after, in Prison.

  • he heard his death.....he heard it all the way before didnt he

  • Thanks for this read the book after reading/watching Needful Things. I liked it I thought it followed the book really well I liked the combining of Homer and the snooty photog. Missed the bird whistle and Thad driving to the summerhouse through the birds. LOVED the babies waving at the end I laughed at that I was laughing at the babies during the fight too they looked at the piece of lamp like "Really dad a LAMP is gonna kill other dad" and then they were laughing at the fight.

  • I like the movie more than the book. ( weird, huh?) It just flows better I find.

  • Damn, I need t read the book...the film has no ending!!!!

  • i just looked out the window and saw a magpie 0 0

  • Who knew sparrows were so deadly.

  • The mean looking dude just got ate! Damn nature, you scary!!!!

  • I Love this Movie!

    I Love King !

    Fantastic!

  • woo oh I could not write anything tell the end of the movie IIIII even could not breath normally it took me while tell I m sure that everything is okay OOH

thank you so much for uploading such magnificent movie from an marvelous author

  • The floor is covered in bird poo :/

  • them sparrows would of been munching on the babys long time ago they would of been devoured first, baby meat is the best lmao..

  • The sparrows just feasting on his face...that was some gruesome shit...

    Thanks for posting the movie!

  • Was Secret Window also based on this book? I find the plots 80% the same.

  • Yea, Hows the cop gonna write that one up? Imaginary killer carried away by sparrows case closed.

  • @scumgod13

Hahahaha! Not many criminal investigations end in a flock of birds carrying away a ribcage, eh?

  • @scumgod13 They call the FBI and Mulder and Scully comes in.

  • @scumgod13 He goin' to jail fo that!

  • Thad's twin brother was by a genetic defect inclosed in Thad's brain and survived there and eventually began to grow, which caused Thad's headaches. After the surgical operation the fetus was buried and somehow became George Stark. An absolute nonsense. Nevertheless the story is suspenseful and at least the end is better than that of the "IT"-movie with that big spider.

  • i just don't believe the fact that bird shit isn't covering that room

  • @jakebursTV graphics

  • one of the raddest bad guy deaths ever!

  • Raddest? I don't think anyone has said that since 1990...

  • Calm babies... in such a living nightmare!

  • lol this is like a twilight episode or was it tale form the darkside i get thouse confused but anyways this chick was a twin and didnt fully asorb the other one and the other one started to take controlle at night then she takes over completely

  • movie ended so abruptly..=S I'm still a little confused with the story...so stark is just some demon guy that was summoned after he got humiliated by the fake grave that the main character got for him?? Then he was sent to hell at the end by the pecking sparrows?? Weird ass movie....

  • steven king what do u expect

  • I think the whole idea is that Thad created him in his mind and brought him to life solely through intention. I am a bit confused about his twin tumor though...I think apparently his creation came to life in the twin's body that was in his head? I dunno man...lol, but yes. It is quite a weird movie.

  • @Maxcloudy

Stark was Thad's twin brother but Thad didn't absorb Stark fully. Stark started to grow, they had him removed surgically and burried him. Then thanks to Thad (who wanted Stark to live) gave Stark live. The sparrows were a 'bridge' between the world of the living and the dead. And since Stark lost.. He died. So the sparrows took him away.

  • This reminds me of "Sometimes they come back". The main character returns to where it all started, back in Castle Rock, facing demons of the past (or in this case, his other side).

  • from the fucking pencile he almost dies and when he has nog skin on his head he is aliveeeee and screaming...

  • LOL

  • What? death by sparrow?

  • Jack Sparrow is their leader :) i bet my ass on that

  • Attacks of the killer birds! Pet sparrows for sale... Anyone? Hehehe.

  • omg bad ending!! at least they could have explained or showed what happens to Thad and his family.

  • In Needful Things, Alan Pangborn remarks that Thad n Liz split up n that Thad commits suicide.

Alan also has nightmares of George Stark.

  • How the fuck does Stark gets turned into a skeleton and is still somehow able to stay alive? Damn this movie is cruel!

  • Well he did come out of a supernatural grave, and evil must pay. lol Yeah, yikes. It'll be a while b4 I look at lil birds the same again. heehee And nto a single drop of bird poo...

Haha, 2:05 Hey guys, wait up!

    The beginning was great, ending...abrupt.

  • And a flock of sparrows mysteriously came out of nowhere, and swooped down to peck the flesh off of George Stark's body. Hurray! end credits....

    Some imagination, thanks Stephan King......

  • So the wife and the cop saw George Stark. Does this mean that Thad's tumor was put into another boy whom grew up psychotic?

  • Ending is so BAD, so god damn bad!

In Psycho they explain what happend at the end in such a brilliant way never seen again!!! and also the other Hitchcock movies. the way they play the ending out leaves you STUNNED! this movie has such a lame end.

But it was still fun to watch and THX UPLOADER!!! you rock!

  • Mebeh this is haow the.. why am I spelling shit so badely? Mabey this is how the birds formed in Hitchcock's 'The Birds'. Cause of THAT GUY!

  • Terrible movie.

  • Why do these King adaptations always end so abruptly? It'd be nice to know who serves the life sentence for all the people who were butchered by a character from a smut novel...

And why didn't anyone cast for this know it's BanGOR, Maine? Not BanGER... GOR, pronounced like the polotician "G-O-R-E".

I was born there, dammit! Half of the characters in King's novels were too-or live in the area. The least the casts of these films could've done was learn how to pronounce it.

  • i was thinking the same damn thing about who does the time for this shit lmao.

  • Surely, if he was a made up person he wouldnt be able to drive or make phone calls. Odd film, good though.

  • wasnt realy a horror tho i laughed allot =)

  • come on romero u can do better then this

like most books put on film its realy hard to condence it all in a 2 hour format

the whole movie was put together rather poorly

    pretty terrible i think

    good try

    sweet ending though

  • great book i realy liked thad it sucks cuz at the start of bag of bones, correct me if im wrong, its states that the popular novelist thad beaumont had committed suicide

  • this is horrific

  • Great ^^

  • dude this movie is rad

  • Thanks for the movie.

  • so it was a case of the left frontal lobe not knowing what the right frontal lobe was doing....fasinating. (i'm sure i need to learn to spell something correctlie). thanx for the upload

  • Those babies are way too sedate. Anyway, thanks for the upload!

  • if u guys liked the book better and say the movie sucked why did u watch the whole fucking thing then??

  • lol ... Funny how many who found this great ... Well different taste i guess

  • Excellent Horror. Thank you Stephen King.

  • sparrows are cool :D

  • That was an awfully abrupt ending.

  • them birds was all like OM NOM NOM George Stark.

  • @samdunhamss pmsl to right

  • @sephura PMSL - Pissing myself laughing; used to indicate great amusement or often used to show humor at something in a chat room, etc

  • @thegoodtwin000 ye what of it?

  • Thank You !

  • Anywaye! Thank you for putting up the movie.

  • The credits is music reminds me of Tim Burton for some reason.

  • it reminds me of Edward Scissorhands....

  • Psychopomps? Twin brother? Starting to sound like the Dunwich Horror! Stephen King is the biggest H.P. Lovecraft copycat in the entire Mythos.

  • King admits to being a huge Lovecraft fan...but Lovecraft did not invent psychopomps or the idea of the 'evil twin'...both are rather old ideas...very, very old...

  • I agree with 12becster12, in the book you have more space to write and describe everything in details plus the way it's being described you can actaully imagine, but in the movie you have time contraint to show everything plus the plot, and characters should be adjusted to some extent for a good reason. so if you dont like the movies dont watch them and jsut read the books. no offence

  • George stark probably died one of the worst deaths in cinema and book history.

    RIP

Defenitly not a very nice guy.

  • awesome, thanks for that!! totally made my day

  • im sick and tired of all this "the book was better than the movie" bullshit. if you guys have such a hard on for the book don't watch the movie. the fact that he was blond in the book seems to have everybody all in a tizzy. dose it relay matter, for the sake of plot development, what color his hair was? fuck

  • the books are almost always better than the movies. i never read the book, but i've seen some real abuse done to books when turned into movies. sad. just sad. and the characters' looks are not even the half of that abuse, but certainly a part of it. and people will keep complaining about it, bcz- well, i guess, the public want the best out of hollywood ;)

  • Hmmmm, part two: The babies merge into one baby, who later gets headaches and seizures but has this writing ability..........

  • I didnt like this movie. Everything was so expected. Piss poor job.

  • Not too bad for a Stephen king movie, but the book was probably better.

  • The book WAS better. They left a lot of cool stuff out, and George wasn't nearly as deformed as he was supposed to be. Also, George was supposed to be a blonde. I don't know why they changed that...

  • Wow...interesting...glad I watched it. I loved the begining!

  • GREAT movie

  • pretty sure alan helps thad out wit hthe law thing... shitty movie amazing book

  • haha watch the birdie

  • wait a second thad is still going to jail because of george killing the people like do u really think that the cops will believe that his un born twin came to life from him and went on a killing spree then was eatin by sparrows.

  • we didnt find out if thad went to jail...

  • logics say he did....i mean as mozarelamonkey said...joerge didnt exist..so all the evidence left behind lead to one killer...one crappy direction to an ugly ending of a movie

  • yeah your right

  • you guys shouldve read the book, they find enough evidence to prove that Thad is indeed not the killer

  • What are you talking about? Alan is the only one who sees evidence just like in the movie. At the end of the book they burn the car and the house with all the dead sparrows inside.

  • That's another reason the book was better. In the book, they actually found enough evidence to prove that Thad couldn't be the killer, even if they didn't believe the George stuff. In the book, the house also ended up getting burnt down, and I think Alan told the rest of the police that the real killer died in the fire.

  • damn. those sparrows kick ass!

  • that was fuckin awesome

  • WOW!!!!!

  • part 1 of the movie was all i got through in the book..lmao..the movie rocks though!i like the birds...they are wicked!

    XD

  • the rest of the book is amazing!

  • damn he got fucked up lol

  • this one did make the record

  • Amen BillytheKid

  • lol the babies were like what the fuckkkkk!!!!

  • lol, part 11.."ooooo"..haha

  • what the fuck this movie made no sense and it took me forever to get through it due to all the pauses and shit i had to do throughout the night. talk about a movie that wasn't worth it. ugh.

  • That's gonna be one fucked up witness statement.

  • Not a bad movie. But could have been better. The book was awesome though.

  • I would so punch that cop in the face.

  • I never read The Dark Half. I watched the movie and I am reading it. My fav SK book is The Stand.

  • beatiful ending music piękna piękna!!!! I loved it :)))))))) Yeah!

  • That was a good movie. Stephen King is such an excellent author.

  • how is Alan the cop gonna write his report about this??

  • More films in my playlist 4 anyone who wants 2watch

  • Brilliant :D

    thanks for uploading it!

  • thanks alot for this my friend

  • Thanks for uploading! Interesting movie, but not too scary. Greetings!

  • I loved this movie when it first came out . Thanks for uploading it I enjoyed watching it again. I Adore Stephen King. I love his books and the movies are great too.

  • there are some books that just are just to good to be made into movies. I think this is one of them. They way the book goes just can't be made into a movie

  • thanks for uploading

  • lol PWND, i liked the book better though, they skipped some scenes and shortened it...-.-

"HELP IM BLIND *boom* *boom*" rofl

  • the sparrows should have left an eyeball, and a couple of teeth.

  • please try to download the movie firestarter

  • YAY...Loved it. Thanks for posting this movie!!!
