Man, I've had respect for Lou for a long time as a video game fan (was never into wrestling) but to hear how influential he was? I knew he helped Cindi Lauper's career and all but I never expected this level of greatness. Hehehe, he's just like the actual character of Mario; alway doing something. Lou was wither fighting, voice acting, and being a huge help to legendary wrestling stars while Mario's done platformers, RPGs, and sports games. I'm gonna miss Lou even more now.
He was pretty good as Frankie the Fixer in the movie Wise Guys (with Danny Devito and Joe Piscopo). They are right that we need more managers in today's wrestling world. Vince McMahon took them out in favor of "ringside Divas" but now even those "managers" are pretty rare. I can only think of Natalya in the Hart Dynasty off the top of my head.
David Herro, "Don Muraco was never a great talker" is one of the most insane statements I have ever heard. He is my favorite promo cutter EVER - he could be smart, funny, cocky, arrogant, or goofy. Orton and Cena should be forced to watch Muraco's promos and learn something.
eurgh meathead again with the failed research. he wasnt in the movie at all. he was in the music video with cyndi lauper "the goonies r good enough" not the movie!!! of all the times not to put effort in to research cuh
obviously at 18 years of age i didnt see the Captain. hearing of his accomplishments and additions to pro-wrestling sounds just amazing. there arent many managers at that level in mainstream pro-wrestling. R.I.P
RIP Captain Lou Albano A.K.A. Super Mario. You will be always be remembered, missed, and loved.

@Gamebox27, Lou Albano "retired" because the W.W.F. let him go because they didn't want him to do "Wise Guys".
