Human Factors should become part of the how healthcare professionals are trained, they teach it in every other High Reliability Organisation and yet it is still fringe in healthcare. Time for change

My brother died from medical error on the parts of the nurses in which we trusted to care for him. i recently was beaten and left for dead in a parking lot, was referred to neurologist for post concussive disorder and atypical brain atrophy and empty sella and instead of seeing the neurologist, i was sent a student that treated me as if i was a pain junkie looking for pain meds for my headaches due to the concussion, i was never seen by the neurologist and no tests were done, only prescribed "neurotin" and told to leave. that is that state of healthcare in this country.

Thank you again for telling the truth. Doctor's & nurse's are dealing with human beings and their lives. There should be little room for error. Way too many errors occur in United States hospitals. My brother was one of the ones they killed. His death was very preventable. I call it a form of terrorism!
