Absolutely no. The moon should come under the same rules of protection as other natural parts of the environment. I have nothing against us eventually colonising the place but scrawling adverts onto it? If this is seriously being considered and not a hoax then it's completely impractical and akin to putting adverts on the pyramids of Giza or the Statue of Liberty.

It might be good to put a time capsule up there and make a small pointer next to it with maybe some fancy technology inside, but other than that, leave the surface alone. Hey remember Chairface form The Tick. You know he had a chair for a head. And then he got this really powerful laser and pointed it at the moon and started to wright "Chairface" on the surface of the moon. And the Tick had to stop him but he wasn't quite fast enough and Chaiface managed to wright "Cha" on the moon before Tick stopped him. And in every episode of The Tick after that whenever they would show the moon in the background it would have the "Cha" on it. Boy that was great.
